With Sunday now available, General Jing Yuan has entered a new phase of strength. His kit includes a summon, and Sunday grants both characters and their summons immediate action, meaning the Lightning Lord can act right after Jing Yuan, bypassing his lower Speed stat.
This adjustment significantly boosts Jing Yuan’s damage and overall reliability, especially with the added 50% damage bonus from Sunday’s Skill for the summon each turn.
Jing Yuan, who focuses on AoE damage via the Erudition Path, can deliver impressive single-target damage, in addition to remarkable multi-target attacks.
By including Robin and Aventurine in the Jing Yuan/Sunday combination, you can enhance action economy through Robin’s Ultimate and additional buffs from her Skill. Huo Huo also serves as a viable sustain option, boosting team-wide Energy, while you could swap Robin for Tingyun for even better Ultimate uptime for Jing Yuan. Gallagher is another suitable choice if the others aren’t available.

The Feixiao team excels in versatility and reliability. While it may not deal the highest damage of some setups, it remains consistent and is effective across all gameplay scenarios.
If you prioritize speed, Feixiao’s technique allows you to traverse maps at nearly double speed. Additionally, her wind current breaks destructible items and can lift smaller enemies, clearing them efficiently.
Feel free to adjust your team if you’re missing specific characters. Topaz can be replaced by Imaginary March 7th, Gallagher or Lingsha can substitute for Aventurine, and Robin can be swapped out for Sparkle or Bronya.
The key is to maximize follow-up attacks to enable Feixiao’s Ultimate, with Topaz and Imaginary March 7th providing valuable support. The supporting roles can be swapped based on availability.

If you’ve been away from Honkai: Star Rail, you might be missing some of the newer characters. However, you may still have top-tier options from older patches. Imbibitor Lunae and Acheron are two of the strongest, with only one rerun since their introduction.
While Acheron is typically more powerful, the release of Sunday has greatly enhanced Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae’s effectiveness, despite the differences in strength. When paired with Sparkle, his Skill Point economy issues are largely resolved, providing him with more damage potential. Tingyun can further assist IB Dan Heng with Energy and damage support.
Sparkle also aids Acheron, effectively acting as a second Nihility character, since her buffs closely mirror the damage boost Acheron would gain from having a second Nihility character.
Pela is an excellent debuffer with a strong Skill Point management ability, while Silver Wolf offers nearly unlimited debuffs.
Bronya is known for being exceptionally Skill Point-hungry, but her buffs remain among the most powerful in the game, even after nearly three years.
Sustain options haven’t changed much either, as Huo Huo and Fu Xuan continue to provide ample healing and damage protection. Gallagher remains a top-tier choice for any team if you have access to him.

This team setup incorporates several gacha characters, but all members are four-star characters who are relatively easy to obtain compared to other options. While Tingyun and Gallagher might be tougher to acquire, both Moze and March 7th can be obtained through in-game events.
Moze is capable of performing well as a single-target follow-up DPS, and Imaginary March 7th remains a strong sub-DPS for follow-up teams.
Tingyun’s damage and Energy support will help Moze keep his Ultimate ready while stacking Prey. Gallagher is regarded as the best non-5-star healer, making him a great addition if you have access to him.
If Gallagher is unavailable, Lynx is a free character you can earn as you progress through the game and serves as a solid alternative until you can acquire Gallagher.
