In 33 Immortals, players focus on three main attributes: Attack, Vitality, and Empathy. While Attack and Vitality are simple to understand—Attack boosts your damage output and Vitality enhances your health—Empathy requires a bit more explanation since its effects aren’t immediately obvious in gameplay.
Essentially, Empathy enhances interactions with other players. It influences co-op abilities tied to various weapons, affects the speed of player revivals, and determines how much health you regain post-revival. To increase your Empathy, seek out Shrines across the game world and spend your Dust, which you’ll find displayed in the orb on the lower right of your screen.
Understanding Empathy in 33 Immortals
Empathy plays a crucial role in strengthening your cooperative skills, and its benefits vary depending on the weapon you use.
Bow – Volley of Arrows
The more Empathy you possess, the longer the Volley of Arrows will remain active.
Sword – Bubble Shield
The durability of your shield will increase based on the Empathy levels of all players involved in using the co-op skill.
Daggers – Greedy Strikes
With higher Empathy, the Greedy Strikes ability will stay visible on-screen for an extended period, depending on the Empathy of the participating players.
Staff – Staff of Sloth
A greater amount of Empathy allows the Staff’s co-op ability to slow enemies for a more extended duration.
Revive Speed and Malus
When your Empathy is high, you can revive teammates faster when they are in wisp form. Additionally, having more Empathy boosts the hit points of your revived allies and reduces any temporary health penalties (Malus) that may affect their health bar.
