Xenolord in Palworld: A Comprehensive Guide
Xenolord is a formidable antagonist introduced in the Feybreak update of Palworld. This Dragon/Dark-type creature presents one of the toughest challenges players can face. In its standard form, it boasts over 1.3 million HP, doubling that in its Ultra form. Therefore, strategic planning and efficient damage dealing are crucial for victory against Xenolord. Its arsenal includes devastating laser beams, meteor storms, and powerful melee attacks, requiring players to stay agile and dodge effectively—making flying Pals particularly advantageous.
The battle against Xenolord has a time constraint, increasing the urgency to defeat it swiftly. Choosing the right team is essential; it’s wise to select Pals that can withstand Dark and Dragon-type attacks, such as Astegon and Frostallion. Additionally, Pals like Gobfin can enhance your damage capabilities. Equipping high-level gear is vital, with the Hexolite Armor set proving effective against Xenolord’s fierce assaults. This encounter is one of the most thrilling additions from the Feybreak update.
Where to Find Xenolord in Palworld
Xenolord cannot be found in the wild like other Pals; it is a Raid Boss requiring a specific summoning method. First, ensure you’ve reached Technology Level 33 to obtain the blueprint for the Summoning Altar, which you can construct anywhere within your base but should preferably be distanced from primary structures to prevent damage during combat.
To call forth Xenolord, you’ll need a special item known as the Xenolord Slab, crafted using four Xenolord Slab Fragments. You can acquire these Fragments by sending your Pals on expeditions to dungeons on Feybreak Island. However, collecting these Fragments can take some time due to their limited drop rates. Once the slab is in hand, use it at your Summoning Altar to initiate the raid, potentially facing the even stronger Ultra Xenolord. The positioning of your altar within your base will impact your battle strategy.
Strategies for Defeating Xenolord
To conquer Xenolord, a solid strategy and thorough preparation are imperative. Ensure your character is at least Level 60 with strong stats and gear. Equip the Hexolite Armor and Helmet to shield yourself from Xenolord’s potent attacks. A Rocket Launcher is ideal for inflicting significant damage, especially to Xenolord and its minions—Xenogards and Xenovaders.
You’ll also want to carry a Laser Gatling Gun for sustained firepower to gradually chip away at Xenolord’s health, and consider a Poison Arrow Crossbow, as its poison damage is effective against Xenolord’s high HP. Mobility plays a vital role; using the Double Air Dash and Triple Jump Boots will help you evade attacks.
When assembling your team, having a Frostallion as your main Pal is strategic due to its effective ice attacks and its ability to fly, allowing it to dodge ground-based attacks. Including Gobfins can further enhance your offensive capabilities, as they can combine their ice-type attacks for increased damage. For defense, consider Pals like Astegon, Jetdragon, and Quivern to leverage type advantages.
Before summoning Xenolord, ensure that all of your Pals are at full health and you have ample ammunition. A clever tactic is to set up a Palbox in an open space, summon Xenolord, and then retreat to a safe distance. Xenolord will target the Palbox with its Cosmic Meteor attack, giving you an opportunity to hit it from afar. This approach is most effective with a strong ranged setup to maximize your damage output within the 10-minute time limit. Alternatively, building a well-fortified base and relying on your defensive Pals to whittle down Xenolord’s health can also be effective.
Can You Breed Xenolord?
Unlike standard Pals, Xenolord cannot be bred in Palworld. This Raid Boss can only be acquired by defeating it in a specific raid. Upon victory over Xenolord, you may receive a Huge Dark Egg as a reward. If you choose to incubate this egg, there’s a good chance it will hatch into a Level One Xenolord.
To enhance your chances of obtaining a Huge Dark Egg, focus on assembling a strong team, utilizing strategies that exploit the AI targeting bug, and ensure your characters are well-leveled and equipped prior to the battle. Keep in mind that you can also obtain a Huge Dark Egg from defeating the Ultra Xenolord, but this variant is significantly tougher to defeat. After the showdown, be sure to search the surrounding area for the egg—it’s a fantastic reward for your efforts in this intense encounter.
