The Indiana Jones Light Chamber puzzle is a challenge that unlocks the Three Eyed Gate by adjusting light beams to form various symbols. It’s the final and most intricate light beam puzzle in the Gizeh region, building on what you learned from the Indiana Jones Sanctuary of the Guardians puzzles, while introducing a new shape-creation element.
This puzzle has many moving components, taking some time to unravel, but I’m here to guide you through the Three Eyed Gate puzzle in Indiana Jones and help you progress toward the Idol of Ra.
Understanding the Indiana Jones Light Chamber Puzzle
To proceed through the Three Eyed Gate, you’ll need to solve a multi-step light puzzle after finishing the Indiana Jones Chamber of Resonance puzzle. In essence, your task is to recreate the shapes on the three discs at the center of the gate by directing light beams at the adjacent shapes.
At the start of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, you’ll see only one beam focusing on the gate, so your initial objective is to get additional beams of light. Here’s how to maneuver through the Chamber of Light puzzle:
- First, direct the central mirror at the top shape on the right. This will unlock a door on your left, leading to another mirror.
- Utilize this new mirror to angle a beam of light through the crevice in the collapsed rocks onto the mirror on the right side of the main room.
- Return to the main room and aim the central mirror at the top shape in the left column, then adjust the right mirror to hit the middle shape in the right column. This will open the door on your right, revealing a symbol made up of the two shapes you just illuminated.
- Go through the newly opened door and take the corridor on the right to find a loose brass mirror.
- Take this mirror and carry it to the other open door on the right side of the main room, where you’ll discover a shining pedestal without a mirror.
- Set the mirror on the pedestal, and the light beam will reflect back to the mirror on the left in the main room. This gives you three mirrors in the main room to use for recreating the symbols on the Three Eyed Gate.
Symbol Combinations for the Three Eyed Gate
- To match the top symbol of the Three Eyed Gate, direct the left beam to the bottom-left shape. If you haven’t moved the other two beams, they should already be in place, so it’ll solve itself. It should look like this:
- For the middle symbol, move the central beam up to the top-right shape and the right beam down to the middle-left shape to achieve the following:
- For the final bottom symbol, adjust the central beam down to the bottom-right shape and the left beam to the middle-right shape, which should look like this:
Once you have positioned all three locking discs correctly, you will successfully complete the Light Chamber puzzle, causing the Three Eyed Gate to open. You can now venture deeper into the ancient caves beneath the pyramid and progress in your adventure as you near the end of the Gizeh chapter.
These engaging puzzles are what make this Indiana Jones game one of the top adventure games out there.
