In Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind, you get to step into the role of the iconic Power Rangers and navigate a fresh take on the show’s inaugural season.
This adventure is packed with defeating Putties, piloting Zords, assembling the legendary Megazord, and, naturally, saving Angel Grove citizens from various predicaments. After all, being a Power Ranger means helping those in need!
Understanding Rescuable Characters
As you navigate through the side-scrolling action of Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind, you’ll encounter several characters in need of rescue. This is quite straightforward—simply defeat an enemy or perform a task to free them, and they will relocate to the Juice Bar once the mission is finished.
Besides being a friendly neighborhood hero, rescuing these characters enables you to chat with them back at the Juice Bar, plus you’ll earn a Memento as a token of appreciation. Completing the rescue missions for all characters will also grant you the “Very Special Guest” trophy or achievement, making it a worthwhile endeavor.
How to Rescue Mr. Caplan
The first character you can rescue in Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind is Mr. Caplan, who is found in the very first level, Canyon Path. Progress to the city’s section of the level to reach a garbage bin next to a switch.
Activate the switch to release Mr. Caplan, who will express his frustration about being trapped for so long. Afterward, you can find him at the Juice Bar, where he will give you the Deandra Flowers Memento as a reward.
How to Rescue Ms. Appleby
The next character to save is Ms. Appleby, located in the fourth level, Industrial Waste Plant. Continue until you defeat the first Time Disruptor, then progress until you reach a distinctive red telephone box.
Break open the telephone box, and you’ll find Ms. Appleby waiting inside. After rescuing her, she will appear at the Juice Bar, where you will earn the Power Rangers Photo Memento.
How to Rescue Willy
To find Willy, head to the seventh level, Carnival. Keep fighting through the level until you reach a prize counter. Look to the left for a stall; breaking it will reveal Willy’s hidden location.
Like the other characters, Willy will show up at the Juice Bar afterward, and you will unlock the VR Headset Memento by talking to him.
How to Rescue Marge
The final character to rescue, Marge, is situated toward the end of the game in the eleventh level, Angel Grove Park. This relatively short level is set in a park and is quite easy to navigate. As you approach the end and pass by a football field, watch for the vending machines.
When you reach this area, go up to the glowing blue crystal and strike it to free Marge, who was captured by Madam Woe. After rescuing her, speaking to Marge at the Juice Bar will unlock the Marge’s Necklace Memento.
