Practice Debating

Opportunities to practice can be found at the Grand Trad Podium, Maritra Podium, Brilehaven Podium, Virga Island Podium, and Altabury Podium. Spend time with Junah and interact with the Activist Woman in Sunshade Row, Grand Trad, during the day. These activities will help you steadily increase your Eloquence. You can find Junah at the Gauntlet Runner, where a bookshelf is also located. It’s a great idea to read and spend time with Junah while you’re there.
No other followers provide the same increase in your stats as these two, so focus on them. Unlike reading books that require multiple sessions, Learn From Friends facilitates continuous growth during your journey. This activity becomes available after leaving Brilehaven and introduces a new party member with a high Eloquence stat. Spending time with them on the deck of the Gauntlet Runner allows you to accumulate Eloquence points effortlessly.

Watching shows in Metaphor: ReFantazio offers a distinct experience that extends beyond mere entertainment. The performances are engaging, but the main advantage lies in the chance to enhance your Royal Virtues. From the end of September onwards, shows hosted by Altabury’s Opera House highlight different virtues, allowing you to passively gain points just by watching. To focus on improving your Eloquence, attend “The Stripling and His Stewards,” which tells the tale of a clever boy handling complex negotiations.
Make an effort to watch every show you encounter. While not all provide the same level of stat boosts, they’re definitely worth a shot. By figuring out which show contributes to each stat, you can plan accordingly. Each show costs 1,500 reeve to watch, which can be quite a bit at the start of the game. However, a performance like “The Stripling and His Stewards” can elevate your Eloquence by seven skill points.

However, this perk requires maxing out your Eloquence and obtaining Friendship Rank 8 with each companion while also unlocking their specific Archetypes. Much like the Charisma stat in various games, it’s easy to recognize the benefits of becoming more personable in your gameplay. If you’d prefer a less direct approach to leveling this stat, it will naturally grow over time, and it is essential.
