April marks the anniversary of the initial launch of Pokémon Horizons, and to celebrate, Pokémon GO is hosting the Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event. This exciting event will showcase characters from the anime, including a special Pikachu, and will introduce several highly anticipated Pokémon from the Paldea region.
As part of the celebration, players will find various Pokémon spawning in the wild, and there will be opportunities to hatch specific Pokémon and participate in unique raids. Keep in mind that this event is time-limited, so to catch any of the featured Pokémon or possibly discover a Shiny variant, you’ll want to complete tasks before the event concludes.
Event Schedule for Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration
This Event Will Last One Week
This event is a bit different as it extends over a week rather than just a weekend like most other limited-time Pokémon GO events. Specifically, the Pokémon Horizons Celebration Event starts at 10 AM on April 16, 2025, and wraps up at 8 PM on April 22, 2025, local time.
It’s crucial to remember that with this event, there won’t be any additional time after it concludes to claim remaining rewards. If you finish tasks but don’t collect the rewards by 8 PM on April 22, 2025, you’ll unfortunately lose them.
All Pokémon Debuting in Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event
A Paldea Pokémon with a Love for Hammers Will Be Making Its Appearance
For this event, only one evolutionary line from the Paldea region will make its appearance. During the festivities, you can encounter Tinkatink, Tinkatuff, and Tinkaton in Pokémon GO. Be sure to use any Pinap Berries you have to maximize candy gain while catching them, allowing you to evolve Tinkatink into Tinkaton before the event ends.
Evolving Tinkatink into Tinkatuff will require 25 Tinkatink Candy, while Tinkatuff must use an additional 100 Tinkatink Candies to evolve into Tinkaton.
These three Pokémon will continue to be part of the game after the event, but be aware that the chances of encountering them will decrease significantly once the event concludes, making it harder to catch and evolve them later on. Additionally, a special version of Floragato featuring Liko’s pin will be available for a limited time during this event, so make sure to grab it while you can.
All Raids and Best Counters in Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event
Join Raids for Extra Rewards & Pokémon
During the Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event, players will have the chance to take part in different raids. Fortunately for newer trainers, all raids during this event will be 1-Star or 3-Star, which means they shouldn’t be overly challenging to defeat. Players should find the 1-Star raids easy to manage, while 3-Star raids will also be manageable with a decent lineup of Pokémon.
To be effective in raids, even at the 1-Star level, it’s wise to use the best counters you have. Below are the raids and suggested counter Pokémon for this Pokémon GO event:

All Wild Spawns in Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event
Keep an Eye Out for Increased Spawn Rates of Specific Pokémon
Alongside Pokémon available through raids and research tasks, a variety of other Pokémon will have higher chances of appearing in the wild during the Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event. These Pokémon include:
- Quagsire
- Shuckle
- Slugma
- Nosepass
- Snorunt
- Sprigatito
- Floragato wearing Liko’s pin
- Fuecoco
- Quaxly
- Pawmi
- Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat
Most of these Pokémon will have increased shiny odds during the event, with a few exceptions. Notably, Quaxly, Pawmi, and Quagsire will not have enhanced shiny chances despite their increased spawn rates. Nevertheless, this event still presents a prime opportunity to gather candy and work towards completing your Pokédex. Additionally, any Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat encountered during this event will know the Charged Attack Volt Tackle.
