The primary way to enhance your skills in UFL is through Ranked online mode, but there’s a different thrill when you can challenge and defeat a friend in a one-on-one match. As a new entry in the free-to-play football gaming scene, it will be exciting to see how your abilities hold up against others in the same genre.

Since UFL focuses on a singular primary mode, you won’t have to navigate multiple modes to play with friends. Once you’re familiar with the multiplayer setups, you can easily challenge your friends at any time.
How to Play with Friends
Inviting friends to play online can be a bit tricky compared to other multiplayer games. From the main menu, select Online and then the Casual option. Here, you can decide to play against a random online player, create a new lobby, or join an existing one.
If you want to invite a friend, you need to create a lobby. This process will prompt the game to search and generate a lobby code. Share that code with your friend via any method you prefer, and wait for them to join. Once they’re in, you can both select your teams and start playing.
Currently, there isn’t an option to invite friends directly through your console’s friend list.
You can also join a lobby created by a friend by entering the lobby code they provide. Simply select the Join tab, and enter the code into the game to access their lobby.
How to Play Local Multiplayer
If you’re interested in playing with a friend on the same couch, you can opt for online or offline play. From the Casual Online menu, connect a second controller to your console and press a button to pair it. This will enable you to compete with another player online in a duo.
The simplest way to play locally is to go to the main menu and select Local. You can connect the controllers and choose which team you want to represent. Feel free to use either real teams available in the game or create your own UFL team. After that, set your game parameters and jump into the match.
Keep in mind that the number of licensed real-world teams in UFL is limited, so using your own created team might be the best approach.
