Can you really play Overwatch on Mac? Let’s get to the bottom of it, to see if Apple’s MacBook can handle it.
It is possible but not worth the try because it is really crappy.
Overwatch will not be able to function on Apple OS. The only method is to buy windows and run Windows on an emulator. The computer will be running two operating systems. It is hard enough to run one.
Mac can easily run those games which are not demanding for example the League of legends or Hearthstone.
Running it on two operating systems and in an emulator with the game requires high processing power which Mac does not have, even though overwatch is not that graphically demanding. It will not provide you more than 10 to 15 frames and your computer will overheat and break.
Its better to invest in a Chromebook or a gaming pc or an HP laptop or something.
However, keep it in mind that MacBook Air is an ultrabook which is capable but will not give u the perfect experience doing it because it is not made for this reason.
While traveling, on a Macbook Air I used to play Left 4 Dead 2. Due to no other alternatives. The experience was just fine and not so thrilling so I wouldn’t recommend it. An external mouse will also be needed though.
The engine needs to be ported into the Mac platform which is a very difficult and expensive task because the game was itself made on a new and proprietary game engine. However, the platform of mac has not been viewed as a gaming platform traditionally so some amount of mac users will be buying video games. Mac’s make up only about 10% of the global market.
