Mastering Warlock's Debtor Quest in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl has finally arrived, immersing players in a gripping post-apocalyptic world filled with side quests, exploration, and battles against mutants and Bloodsuckers. Though it may have its rough patches, the game excels in delivering an engaging experience, particularly for fans of the earlier titles.

The brief but impactful side quest titled Warlock’s Debtor serves as a perfect introduction to Stalker 2. You’re tasked with retrieving Credits from a young Stalker who borrowed money from Warlock, leading to intriguing choices and encounters that hint at the challenges awaiting you deeper in the harsh Exclusion Zone.

How to Initiate Warlock’s Debtor in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl

As you progress through the main storyline and arrive in Zalissya for the first time, you will encounter Gaffer, launching a short cutscene and dialogue. Afterward, if you choose to engage, Warlock will signal for you, presenting you with the option to accept his offer or move past him to continue your quest.

Speak with Warlock

Approach Warlock and initiate a conversation until you reach the first dialogue prompt, where you can inquire about available jobs. Warlock will mention Valik Lummox, a young Stalker who has racked up a debt. He wants you to find Valik and collect what he owes.

Accept the mission and heed Warlock’s advice: he wants Valik unharmed—just to scare him into understanding the consequences of his actions in the Zone. With that settled, it’s time to track down Valik and recover Warlock’s money.

Locate Valik Lummox in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl

Running toward the Water Tower where Valik Lummox is located in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

After your conversation with Warlock, he will inform you that Valik was last spotted at the Water Tower just north of Zalissya. Follow the marker on your compass until you reach a building and the Water Tower in the distance, but be cautious as you approach; you may encounter some unwanted company.

Speak with Dima Dope

As you approach the Water Tower and the adjacent warehouse, you will encounter a group of Bandits led by Dima Dope. He will confront you and inquire about your intentions. Since both of you are after Valik, Dima will propose a deal: go inside and force Valik out for them to handle.

However, since Warlock wants to keep Valik safe, it’s best to reject Dima’s offer. Choose the option “Don’t tell me what to do,” and prepare to defend yourself against the group. There are three Bandits, including Dima, at the front of the building and one more lurking at the back.

Dispatch the four Bandits and loot their bodies for ammunition, medical supplies, and new weapons. Afterward, head toward the doorway where Valik will appear to greet you.

Speak with Valik Lummox

When you successfully rescue Valik from the Bandits, he will exit the warehouse to speak with you. Continue the dialogue until you see the option to tell him to “Pay Warlock what you owe him.” Doing so will also earn you a share of those Credits.

Valik agrees to send the Credits to Warlock, instantly adding 900 Credits to your inventory and completing the Warlock’s Debtor mission. If you engaged with him further, you might have even discovered hints about the location of his stash and its possible contents.

Where to Find Valik Lummox’s Stash in Stalker: Heart of Chornobyl

If you’ve gone through all dialogue options with Valik Lummox, you might recall him mentioning his plan to catch Dima Dope by hiding at the top of the Water Tower with his scoped rifle, but he was caught off guard.

To check for the stash, climb the long ladder of the large Water Tower next to the warehouse until you reach the top. Once there, you will find a bag near the center. Loot Valik’s stash to discover a Scoped AKS-74 and 45 rounds of ammunition for it.

This weapon is in excellent condition, so it won’t require repairs for some time. Its high power also makes it a worthy addition to your early arsenal. Don’t forget that you can take it to Lens in Zalissya for upgrades, enhancing its effectiveness even further!
