In the Disney Dreamlight Valley expansion titled A Storybook Vale, players are tasked with completing various trials across three unique biomes in Everafter, specifically The Wild Woods, Teapot Falls, and The Fallen Fortress. The first trial will help you unlock the character Flynn Rider, while the subsequent trials can be completed in any order, given you have access to the respective areas.
Most players will probably take on the Teapot Falls Fairy Tale Trial second, as opening Teapot Falls requires fewer resources than unlocking The Fallen Fortress. Upon gaining access to Teapot Falls, you’ll automatically receive a quest from Flynn Rider, guiding you on how to enter the trial, just as you did with the first.
Teapot Falls Fairy Tale Trial Solution
Puzzle 1: The First Door
Once you step into the Teapot Falls Fairy Tale Trial, you’ll find yourself standing atop a staircase. Before moving down, you’ll notice a door to your right. At the base of that door, you’ll see three “?” icons positioned on the floor; these need to be filled with the correct images. Your initial clue can also be found above the door from this location.
For your next hint, start descending the stairs, and you’ll spot the next clue directly across from you on the wall. Finally, when you reach the actual puzzle, look behind you to see the last image needed. Remember, you need to dig in certain spots to adjust the icons in each square. The correct sequence from left to right is: Dragon, Castle, Dragon. If you input the answer accurately, the door will unlock.
Puzzle 2: The Three Chairs
Once you move into the next room, you’ll encounter several puzzles, starting with the chair setup to your left. Engage with the scroll nearby to reveal a riddle indicating where each chair should be arranged at the table. To rearrange the chairs, access the build menu as if you’re decorating in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Although the riddle is fairly straightforward, you should place the pink chair at the head of the table. The blue chair goes to the right of the pink chair, one seat over. Finally, the wooden chair should be placed at the end of the table closest to you, positioned farthest from the pink chair.
Puzzle 3: The Clock
Even though the tea riddle is right there in front of you, the next task is the clock puzzle. Head to the left corner of the room, where you’ll find stairs leading you up to a clock. Another riddle presented at the stair’s bottom gives guidance on setting the clock. The riddle indicates that eight is too early and ten is too late, so set the clock to 9. Using Roman numerals, adjust it to IX, which will point the hour hand to the left.
Puzzle 4: The Four Pictures on the Wall
The next puzzle is located to the left of where you entered the room. Descend a small staircase and find four “?” symbols on the wall, each requiring the correct image. To locate these images, search the room thoroughly. One image can be found on the side of the stairs that lead to the clock, while another is positioned to the right when facing the entrance. The third is located atop the stairs opposite the clock puzzle, near some mushrooms.
The final image can be located directly above the puzzle itself. Note that the images correspond to Roman numerals, but they aren’t in order in the puzzle. Simply match each image to its corresponding number instead of attempting to arrange them numerically. The correct sequence from left to right is: Flower, Wolf, Flower, Dragon. Input this correctly, and it will drop a pot for you to place on the tea trolley beside the table.
Puzzle 5: The Hedge Maze
To complete this last puzzle, enter the adjacent room. Simply engage the lever with Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s Royal Net and proceed down the corridor. At the end, you will face two hedge mazes with an additional image puzzle on the floor in between. To collect clues to solve it, explore both the left and right mazes. One clue can be found on the wall straight ahead but be aware that it’s upside down.
Within the left maze, you’ll discover one clue at the back left section. On the right, find clues in the back right corner and also in the top left corner relative to the room’s entrance. Once you gather all four clues and collect chests throughout the maze, complete the puzzle by digging the slots: two Dragons on the upper slots, and two Castles on the lower slots. After the door opens, retrieve the teapot from the chest and bring it back to the trolley.
Complete Everafter’s Second Fairy Tale Trial
Finish the Teapot Falls Trial with Flynn Rider
Once you’ve tackled all the puzzles within the chair room, the door to the next area will unlock. You’ll witness a brief interaction with Flynn Rider, finalizing your progress in the second Fairy Tale Trial and allowing you to return to Everafter. Keep in mind that you can revisit this trial later for chests, but now it’s time to focus on unlocking The Fallen Fortress and completing the final Fairy Tale Trial in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
