Mastering the Secrets: Unlocking Diving in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

As you might guess from its name, Hello Kitty Island Adventure unfolds on a charming island. You’ll find yourself spending plenty of time around the water. Initially, you won’t have the ability to swim or dive, both of which will come later. While swimming is unlocked fairly quickly, you might be curious about how to dive.

Struggling with the Laziest Egg quest in Hello Kitty Island Adventure? Don’t get too stressed!

This guide will walk you through the process of diving in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, including the quests necessary for fully exploring underwater. Diving is essential since you’ll need this skill before your first encounter with Hangyodon.

How to Begin the Deep Diving Quest

You can unlock the snorkel by completing the Deep Diving quest. To kick off this quest, you first need to reach friendship level six with Kuromi. If your relationship with her isn’t strong enough yet, remember to give her three gifts each day. Kuromi loves pumpkins, which can be found nearby, and she highly appreciates Jack-O-Lanterns as well, which earn you two hearts.

Once you hit the appropriate friendship level, have a chat with Kuromi. She will ask you to retrieve her lost locket and lend you her snorkel during the process. Finding the locket is straightforward, but she will want it back once you retrieve it.

At this stage, she will provide you with the Snorkel Plan, which you will need to craft on your own.

How to Craft the Snorkel

Gathering Rubber for crafting

Gather the following materials to create the snorkel:

  • 10x Rubber
  • 2x Spark
  • 2x Iron Ingot

Once you have everything, head to the crafting table near Chococat to craft the snorkel! After crafting, you’ll be ready to explore underwater.

How to Obtain Rubber

Rubber is relatively easy to find. This material can be spotted on the first island, often lying beneath trees. It looks like small purple balls, so be sure to pick any you find.

How to Get Sparks

Crafting Sparks

Sparks are a tad trickier to acquire. To obtain these, you need to reach friendship level four with Pochacco. Once you’ve achieved that, you’ll unlock the quest called A Zipline Adventure.

Completing this quest grants you the recipe for Sparks, which require three Light Stones to make. Fortunately, you can receive these stones from Kuromi after giving her a gift, so you should be set for creating Sparks.

How to Get Iron Ingots

Collecting Iron

You can find Iron on Mount Hothead. The Iron will appear on the ground as dark-red lumps sprinkled with grey. If you need more Iron, try participating in a minigame in Gemstone Town, where Iron can be a possible reward.

How to Use the Snorkel

The snorkel enables you to dive underwater, but how long you can stay submerged is limited by your current stamina. With ample stamina, you can dive quite deep and explore the ocean floor.

To use the snorkel, start swimming. On the right side of the screen, you’ll see the snorkel icon along with arrows pointing up and down. Pressing down will let you dive deeper. If your stamina runs low, the interface will disappear until your character swims back to the surface.

Once you have the snorkel, you can visit Hangyodon, who resides underwater. The building he’s in doesn’t have any water, so once you’re inside, you won’t need to worry about diving or stamina anymore. Plus, there’s a fast-travel mailbox just outside that you should activate!
