Hot on the heels of the Mythical Island launch, the final Pokemon TCG Pocket PVP event of the year is about to commence. The Mystical Island Emblem Event provides players with a chance to earn a third set of emblems to showcase on their profiles as we head into the new year.
Many fans were disappointed with the initial SP Emblem Event, primarily because achieving a winning streak often felt like pure luck. Fortunately, this new event only requires you to secure a specific number of match victories, rather than maintaining a continuous streak. So, dust off your deck and prepare for battle!
What Is The Mystical Island Emblem Event?
The Mystical Island Emblem Event is a player-versus-player (PVP) competition that takes place from December 20, 2024, to January 10, 2025. That gives players a full three weeks to accumulate all the emblems, Shinedust, and Pack Hourglasses they desire.
Events in Pokemon TCG Pocket follow Central Time, with uniform start and end times across all locations. Check your in-game notifications for the exact start and end times based on your time zone.
Similar to the Genetic Apex Emblem Event, the Mystical Island Emblem Event requires you to win a specified number of Versus Battles to earn emblems, but you won’t need to keep a winning streak.
Mystical Island Emblem Event Missions and Rewards
While most players will be eager to score new emblems for their profile, there are also several missions that you can complete for additional Pack Hourglasses and Shinedust.

Tips for the Mystical Island Emblem Event
- The emphasis of this event is on winning numerous matches rather than maintaining a specific win ratio. Even with a beginner’s deck, you should be able to secure the top emblem by simply playing a lot of games.
- However, don’t overexert yourself: the event lasts three weeks, so aim for an average of two to three wins each day. Racking up wins early in the event means less pressure as time goes on, allowing you to play at a comfortable pace.
-
To increase your chances of winning, consider the decks you’re likely to face. Pikachu ex remains a significant force in the current meta, and those with access to the cards may experiment with the new Celebi ex/Serperior strategy.
- Both options make Arcanine ex or Arcanine ex/Charizard ex decks reliable choices for attaining quick victories.
- Although winning event matches is necessary for earning emblems, the other missions only require participation and victories in versus matches. You can utilize the “Thanks Lobby” for fast wins if you’d prefer not to grind out extra matches.
