Playing as Syn Shenron in Versus and Online Matches
Although Syn Shenron is the final antagonist in Dragon Ball GT, he isn’t the highest-damaging character. However, he offers a well-rounded move set and is surprisingly quick given his size, although his throw can leave opponents recovering before the animation fully plays out.
The gameplay of Syn and Omega Shenron differs significantly, but starting as Syn offers benefits beyond just the lower cost of Double Points: he has health recovery. Upon transforming, Omega Shenron gains an extra half bar of health—an aspect often overlooked by players.
Transforming into Omega Shenron requires two Skill Count.
In combat, you’ll frequently rely on Explosive Wave since Mystic Breath is too situational. Explosive Wave effectively creates space from your opponent, setting you up for a counter-attack.
Syn Shenron’s special moves tend to annoy opponents more than inflict heavy damage, which is why they are cost-effective. Beginning with three Ki bars allows you to launch a Trap Shooter right from the start and approach your enemy from various directions.
Gigantic Blaze serves as an intriguing option since it can be executed at any range and is launched right at your opponent. While it can be blocked, you can counter distant Super moves with it, as the cinematic will transport you to safety.

Playing as Omega Shenron in Versus and Online Matches
Omega Shenron significantly increases damage output compared to his previous form, especially if you transform mid-fight. A notable change upon transformation is the loss of access to Explosive Wave, as you’ll gain the ability to enter Sparking Mode instantly.
This, paired with more impactful but costly super moves, positions Omega Shenron as a character designed to finish off opponents. Although Gigantic Blaze is still available, it is now categorized as a regular Super, allowing for better counterattacking during lengthy animations.
Omega Shenron starts with four Ki bars, allowing you to kick off the fight with either Gigantic Blaze or Dragon Thunder based on your opponent’s position.
The rest of his moves are fairly standard for the game and are easy to master, especially if you’re familiar with it. Wild Sense functions to dodge melee attacks, while Minus Energy Power Ball may be challenging to execute but is more accessible thanks to having a skill that puts you into Sparking Mode.
