Bringkus is a tough optional boss you’ll encounter in The First Berserker: Khazan. He’s the sibling of Rangkus, who you may remember as a formidable opponent known for his ranged attacks. However, Bringkus takes the challenge up a notch with his quicker and more precise shots. Before you can face Bringkus, you must first defeat Rangkus during the "Traitor Revealed" mission within Palemion Citadel. Once you manage to take Bringkus down, you’ll earn two random pieces from the Furious Bandit gear set.
Taking down Rangkus is a difficult task that requires you to progress through other main story missions and eliminate his close ally, Elamein. After dealing with her, you can revisit the Crevice, where a new bonus mission called "Pavel’s Final Words" becomes available in the Palemion Citadel area. This level 67 quest leads you through the Forgotten Underground Canal and into the Cavern Beneath the Citadel, where Bringkus, well-equipped and waiting for you, poses a significant challenge compared to other optional bosses in Khazan.

How to Defeat Bringkus in The First Berserker: Khazan
Bringkus Has Homing Missiles and a Grappling Hook
Bringkus has several tactics at his disposal, and mastering the timing can take practice. At the beginning of the fight, he will initiate a slow attack sequence. If you manage to get behind him, he’ll perform a slow backward swing with his grappling hook, which is a great chance to execute a Reflection attack. However, be quick to dodge his incoming projectiles afterward. An important movement to watch for is when he starts spinning chaotically and unleashes massive fireballs.
If you’re having a tough time, it’s advisable to use water-enhanced attacks since Bringkus is particularly vulnerable to them.
He also has a devastating ground slam attack that creates a large fire damage area, capable of hitting you from far away. Avoid this attack to spare yourself significant damage. He may follow up with homing missile strikes, which you can either dodge or defend against with a brink guard. Additionally, he has a menacing stab and grab attack that lifts you into the air for a fiery blast, which can severely deplete your health and stamina.
It’s critical to evade his stabbing attacks as they can be tricky to dodge; he briefly pauses before lunging. Bringkus will use his grappling hook to propel himself across the area, usually followed by a single fiery shot. Look for openings, especially when he begins firing individual rounds, as there will be moments his stamina runs low, giving you a chance to close in and deliver a devastating blow.
You’ll want to keep some Fire Cleanse Potions and Fire Resistance Elixirs ready, as you’ll likely endure some burns while familiarizing yourself with his move set. If you allow Bringkus enough time, he will consume a stamina potion, which you can interrupt by attacking him or using a javelin. This battle is a gradual process, but you’ll eventually chip away at his health, allowing you to claim your rewards and complete the mission.
Rewards for Beating Bringkus
The Furious Bandit Set Is a Solid Dual Wielding Option
Upon defeating Bringkus, you’ll receive two random pieces from the Furious Bandit Set along with the typical rewards of Transmutation Mists, Lacrima, gold, and possibly a random weapon or accessory. If you’ve previously defeated Rangkus, you’re likely to have pieces from the same set, as he drops them as well. Moreover, there’s a chance you’ll collect the Bandit’s Spoils crafting material, useful for crafting Furious Bandit Set pieces at the Blacksmith in The First Berserker: Khazan.
The Furious Bandit set works well for a Dual Wield build and can deal Fire damage if five set pieces are equipped. Overall, Bringkus presents a surprisingly challenging fight as a secondary optional boss in The First Berserker: Khazan. Exercise caution to avoid being burnt to a crisp. Using Fire Resistance Elixirs and Fire Cleanse Potions will help mitigate fire damage, and waiting for him to drain his stamina will present opportunities for powerful strikes.
