Mastering Dragon Rush Strafe & Dragon Burst in Sparking! Zero

When it comes to fighting in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, the game can be quite a challenge. However, two skills you can quickly master that can significantly enhance your performance are the Super Movement and the Z-Burst Dash. These abilities enable you to evade attacks while moving in close and can even help you teleport behind your opponent to catch them off guard. Incorporating these moves into your gameplay will make you an unpredictable and formidable competitor in the arena.

Both Super Movement and Z-Burst Dash are fairly easy to learn, and they offer a range of strategic options. Once you’ve got these mastered, along with other techniques like Sonic Sway and the Afterimage Strike, you’ll be well on your way to excelling in combat in Sparking! Zero.

How to Use Super Movement

Close in on Your Opponent While Dodging Attacks

Super Movement is an exciting skill that provides great utility. However, it can only be performed while in Sparking! Mode, and not every character has access to it. To find out which characters can use this ability, check out a video by DBZanto. To execute Super Movement, start a Dragon Dash while in Sparking! Mode.

While dashing, simply press the Guard button and the direction in which you want to move. This will allow you to swiftly change your position, making it difficult for your opponent to predict your next move. Repeatedly using this technique lets you shoot around the battlefield, dodging incoming ki blasts while you prepare to attack.

Super Movement can also allow you to get behind your opponent as you charge towards them, creating an opening for your attacks. It’s wise to practice this in training mode a few times before you incorporate it into your online battles. Keep in mind that using this skill will deplete a small portion of your Sparking! gauge. To enhance this skill even further, consider equipping abilities like Super Movement Master or Secret to Super Movements to reduce the energy consumption.

After you master this technique, it’s important to turn your attention to the Z-Burst Dash.

How to Use the Z-Burst Dash

Surprise Your Enemy by Teleporting Behind Them

The Z-Burst Dash is among my favorites due to its effectiveness and versatility. This move is also straightforward to learn, and with a bit of practice, it can be combined with other attacks to boost your combos and overall damage. To utilize this technique, you need to have enough Ki available, and any character can perform it.

Begin with a Dragon Dash, and once you’re moving, simultaneously press the Ki Charge and Step-In buttons (R2 + X on PS5 or RT + A on Xbox) without any directional input. This will teleport you directly behind your opponent, giving you a perfect opportunity to strike from behind.

Remember, if you push a directional button while attempting to execute this move, it will not activate the Z-Burst Dash, and you’ll continue your Dragon Dash as usual.

If timed correctly, you can seamlessly integrate this move into your combos. For instance, if you launch your opponent away, you can quickly dash behind them with the Z-Burst Dash, enabling you to keep the pressure on. This move costs one Ki bar, so make sure you have enough Ki, especially if you plan on using it repeatedly. Getting this ability down can be crucial, especially when avoiding the frustrating Z-Counter battles by closing in on knocked-back enemies.

Conclusion

To truly master combat in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, you’ll need to learn how to effectively use Super Movement and Z-Burst Dashes, as well as practice your counters and ki-blast deflections. Also, unlocking all the characters currently available in the game is essential to becoming a skilled player.
