One mini-game featured during the New Bloom festivities is Whim Tangram. This enjoyable block-matching game is trickier than it seems, requiring you to accurately position the blocks. You’ll need to experiment by rotating and placing them in different spots to fit into the outline correctly.
How to Play the Whim Tangram Mini-Game
To finish a level in the Whim Tangram mini-game, you’ll be provided with a selection of blocks in various shapes and sizes. Your task is to align these pieces within a given outline to form a specific pattern. This can become quite challenging, particularly if you start by placing the wrong pieces. Additionally, it’s essential to use all the blocks you have at your disposal.
The Whim Tangram mini-game is only available during the New Bloom Festival, and you’ll need to interact with Qiao He, who can be found on the White Jade ship docked at the port in Florawish.
How to Solve Tangram One
For the first Tangram, your goal is to assemble a boat using the pieces provided. Use the two larger triangle pieces to create the sail. Don’t forget to rotate them to get them to fit just right.
Tip: The color of the blocks isn’t important; focus on using the correct shapes and sizes.
Start by placing the yellow square piece on the bottom left of the boat. You’ll notice a gap that’s shaped like a small triangle, so go ahead and place one of the triangle blocks there. Next, rotate the medium-sized red triangle and position it in the center of the remaining space. Finally, fill in the last two openings with the remaining blocks to complete the puzzle.
How to Solve Whim Tangram Two
The second puzzle presents a more intricate geometric design. Begin by placing a large triangle piece to fit along the left edge of the shape. Place another triangle directly above it to fill in a space that juts out on the left. Next, put the small square at the top of the outline.
You’ll find a spot for a small triangle between the square and the large triangle, so position the small triangle block there. Rotate the red triangle and place it between the two large triangles, and then fill the remaining spaces with the other pieces after rotating as needed.
How to Solve Whim Tangram Three
The third puzzle may look complex, but starting with the larger pieces and those that only fit in specific areas will make things easier. Position the two large triangle pieces to align with the edges of the pattern, and place the rectangle in the open space below.
Next, invert the red triangle so it sits between the two large triangles. Add the two small triangles above it until one diamond-shaped gap remains. Rotate the yellow square block and place it in that space.
How to Solve Whim Tangram Four
While this puzzle may remind you of the third one, there are critical differences in where the shapes go. Place the two large triangles side by side on the right edge and position the rectangle on the left.
Then, take the red triangle piece and set it above the green rectangle piece. Finally, place the two small triangles into the opening between the pieces and rotate the square piece to fit it at the top.
