In celebration of Verdansk’s return, safes have been cleverly hidden throughout this iconic map as part of a limited-time event offering exclusive rewards. By locating these safes in Verdansk, players can earn free cosmetic items like weapon charms, sprays, and emotes. However, two special rewards stand out that every player aims to obtain in Call of Duty: Warzone.
If you successfully open safes in all 12 sectors of Verdansk and claim every free reward from the event, you’ll unlock the beloved Kali Sticks melee weapon. Additionally, each safe has a small chance of granting you a rare, event-exclusive operator skin. This skin is the main highlight of the Return to Verdansk event, but be prepared to open numerous safes to get it, as its drop rate is fairly low. To assist you, we’ve provided a detailed map of safe locations in Verdansk along with some effective routes for maximizing your chances of finding them.
Complete List of Return to Verdansk Rewards in Call of Duty: Warzone
Excluding the free operator skins and the Kilo 141 assault rifle that are available just by logging into Warzone during the event, you can uncover 12 different rewards by exploring safes across each Verdansk sector:
- Dam: “Let’s Plan Something!” Loading Screen
- Military Base: “Jarvdinsk Spomenik” Emblem
- Quarry: “Lumberjack Legends” Calling Card
- Storage Town: “Deathly Chill Return” Weapon Decal
- Superstore: “With Fries, Please” Weapon Charm
- Stadium: “Breaking News” Calling Card
- Train Station: “The Back Adjustment” Finishing Move
- Hospital: “Love 4 Tha Game” Spray
- Downtown: “Cheering the Squad” Emote
- Hills: Double XP Token
- Port: “Shipping to Verdansk” Sticker
- Prison: “Wheel of Glory” Calling Card
Each sector in Verdansk has various potential safe spawn locations, but you only need to open one safe per sector to claim the corresponding reward. The game will notify you when you enter a sector with an unopened safe, and finding them is straightforward if you check the main buildings at each point of interest (POI) and loot as usual.
Keep in mind that some sectors contain several major POIs, meaning you may need to broaden your search area to locate every safe. For example, Storage Town includes the Airport, while the Stadium sector also encompasses the TV Station.
Complete List of Verdansk Safe Locations in Warzone
There are multiple potential spawn locations for safes in each sector of Verdansk. Below is a map showcasing all the safe locations we’ve identified so far:
While the spawn locations for safes are somewhat random, there are some helpful tips to keep in mind while searching for them. They emit a unique audio cue similar to normal supply crates, but with a distinct difference that lets you know when you’re close to one. Additionally, safes are always located outdoors and are typically found against walls or tucked into corners; you won’t find a safe just sitting in an open field.
Keep in mind that safes can be opened only once per match, so you’ll need to be quick if you want to access some of the more sought-after POIs, such as Stadium or Dam. If you see the “Event Reward Available” notification at the top of your screen when entering a new sector, it indicates there are still safes to be found in that area. If you don’t see it, another team may have already claimed the safes there.
Optimal Routes for Farming Verdansk Safes in Warzone
You don’t have to hunt for these safes in standard battle royale matches. We suggest trying the new Battle Royale Casual playlist, which mostly features bots and only a few real teams. Plunder mode is also a great option; with the helicopter making a return to Warzone, it’s much easier to navigate around the map with your team.
To maximize your chances of uncovering the event-exclusive Caine operator skin, we recommend starting your match at either the Dam or Port. These locations each have a high density of safes and generally include helicopters that can help you traverse the map quickly.
Farming Route at Port for Safes
The Port is an excellent starting point for a safe-farming route, as it features several Verdansk safe spawn locations clustered around the area. After checking there, head south to the coast to find a helicopter.
From there, use the helicopter to fly to the Prison for more safes, then head straight north to explore the Lumberyard and Quarry. These areas are less frequented, making it easier to find safes without running into too many opponents.
Farming Route at Dam for Safes
If you prefer starting at the Dam, check the dam structure itself for potential safe spawn locations. Then, proceed to the base of the dam to look for another safe near the buy station. There’s also a helicopter available there, so use it to fly east toward the Military Base for additional safe openings.
Once cleared out, head further east to check the Quarry, and wrap up by exploring the quieter Lumberyard and Farmland sectors for any overlooked safes.
Because these two routes intersect around the same area after starting from opposite corners of the map, you can divide your squad into smaller groups to cover more ground. If one player is lucky enough to unlock the Caine skin from a safe, the whole squad will benefit too.
The drop rate is very low, so don’t be discouraged if the skin doesn’t unlock during your initial matches. The Return to Verdansk event runs until April 15, giving you ample time to earn the Caine operator skin and all other free rewards. However, remember that the Caine skin will no longer be available once the event concludes, so make sure to seek out those safes while you still have the chance.
