In Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, the mystery known as the Seat of Eternity is an enjoyable challenge found in the northern part of Giza. This particular area is the most expansive that Indy explores, so it’s important to collect the Giza map from Nuwal before you begin your adventure. Completing mysteries can yield valuable rewards like currency, artifacts, or upgrade materials.
Mysteries differ from regular adventures and are often triggered by Indy himself when he stumbles upon a puzzle or a piece of unfamiliar documentation. It’s beneficial to tackle Fieldwork and Mysteries before delving deep into the primary storyline. However, initiating this mystery can be tricky, as it’s somewhat off the main path. To start solving it, Indy must find a sealed sarcophagus located in a hidden underground area.
How to Begin the Seat of Eternity Mystery
Find the Sealed Sarcophagus
Begin your quest by traveling northwest from the Sphinx Excavation site near the Cloud Atlas Mystery towards the railroad tracks. Stay on the path until you arrive at a campsite on a hill with three dogs, which indicates you’re in the right spot. Take a moment to search around the hill for square holes in the ground; you’ll need to hop down into one of them. Alternatively, you can scare the dogs away by cracking your whip instead of confronting them head-on.
One of the holes will be sealed with wooden planks, making it impossible for Indy to access. The correct hole is adjacent to it, but make sure not to leap all the way down. Instead, drop onto the ledge partway down the hole, which will allow you to descend safely into the underground area. Once inside, you’ll discover a room with a sealed sarcophagus, four empty pedestals, and a mystery note that triggers the Seat of Eternity Mystery.
How to Solve the Seat of Eternity Mystery
Locate the Canopic Jars
Now that the mystery has begun, explore the sarcophagus room to locate the Falcon Canopic Jar, which is the first of four jars needed to unlock the coffin. Place this jar on the middle-left pedestal, exit the sarcophagus room, and turn left. At the bottom of a hole, you’ll find the Human Canopic Jar along with a two-handed weapon, both of which you’ll need to pull up from the hole. Utilize the whip to climb out and then place the Human Canopic Jar on the far-left pedestal.
Each pedestal has an image above it that corresponds with its respective Canopic Jar.
Exit the sarcophagus room and retrieve the two-handed weapon you found earlier. This time, look to the right to spot a wall that can be shattered with your weapon. Proceed down the newly exposed hallway to find the Baboon Canopic Jar, which should be placed on the far-right pedestal. Afterward, return to the hole where you found the Human Canopic Jar, and swing across to reach a door on the left. Inside is the Jackal Canopic Jar, which you’ll need to toss back across the gap.
Return to the sealed sarcophagus chamber, unlock the coffin, and place the Jackal Canopic Jar on the final pedestal. Reach inside to retrieve an Ancient Relic, which progresses the Riddles of the Ancients quest similar to The Great Circle‘s Haunting Mystery. With the Seat of Eternity Mystery completed, you can climb back out of the hole and continue your exploration of Giza in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
