In Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, players can uncover optional side mysteries, including "The Haunting," which can earn them rewards like Adventure Points and hidden treasures. Among these treasures are Adventure Books, which significantly enhance Indy’s combat abilities, health, stamina, and inventory management. Some hidden items can also be rare collectibles, such as Ancient Relics, which trigger additional exploration quests.
Each level offers a range of puzzles to solve, and Gizeh is no different. By thoroughly investigating each area, players are likely to uncover new quests and rewards, promoting the adventurous essence of the Indiana Jones series. Mysteries can be discovered in various ways, but gathering documents and notes found throughout the levels is one of the most reliable methods. One particular mystery in Gizeh, titled "The Haunting," reveals intriguing details about potential supernatural occurrences at a nearby excavation site.
How to Start The Haunting Mystery
Explore the Small Nazi Camp
To kick off "The Haunting" quest, head to the small Nazi camp situated at the beginning of Gizeh. Instead of entering through the front, which might alert the guards, sneak around to the right side of the camp and find a small hole in the fence for Indy to crawl through. Stealthily maneuver around the camp until you reach the larger tent, where important documents are located.
If you’re caught during this segment, it’s wise to find an improvised weapon to defend yourself, such as a shovel or a sledgehammer.
Upon entering the tent, quietly take down the guard watching the shelves and hide his body in a discreet corner to avoid detection. Direct your attention to the table on the right, where you will find a document called "Hauntings Report." Collecting this document will activate "The Haunting" mystery. Although you don’t need to use your camera like in the Fountain of Confession puzzle, be sure to pick up the Haunted Tomb Key, which is necessary for progressing in this quest.
How to Solve The Haunting Mystery
Adopt a Stealthy Strategy
After you’ve left the Nazi camp, proceed west toward the Haunted Tomb. A few guards will be stationed at the entrance, but you can use nearby vehicles as cover to approach them quietly and neutralize them without gunfire. Once the area is secure, go up to the entrance of the Haunted Tomb and employ the Haunted Tomb Key to unlock the door.
Be aware that there may be patrols along the road, so ensure you dispose of the guards’ bodies before entering the Haunted Tomb.
Once you’re inside, head down the stairs and to the left, where you will encounter some rubble blocking your path. Crouch to navigate through this obstacle, allowing Indy to crawl under the debris. This will lead you to a room with a radio producing eerie sounds. Pick up the Spy’s Note, which reveals that the ghostly noises were merely a ruse aimed at scaring off Nazis to protect valuable artifacts.
Collecting the Spy’s Note will conclude "The Haunting" mystery, granting you Adventure Points as a reward. While there isn’t an Adventure Book like the one found at the end of the Fortune’s Reach Mystery, you will uncover an Ancient Relic essential for advancing the Riddles of the Ancients quest in Gizeh. With this mystery resolved, you can continue your adventures in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
