Warframe introduces players to the Tenno, a group of powerful warriors who battle against various vile factions and terrifying infested creatures throughout the Origin System. To succeed in taking down a diverse range of enemies, you’ll need to gather a wide array of resources to enhance and upgrade your weapons.
One particularly valuable currency is Orokin Ducats. These Ducats can only be earned under specific conditions and are essential for acquiring rare weapons, unique resources, and other intriguing items from the Void Trader. Here’s what you need to know about obtaining and using Ducats.
How to Acquire Ducats
To earn Ducats, head to a relay station and sell a Prime Blueprint or Component. The number of Ducats you receive varies based on the item’s rarity—anywhere from 15 to 100 Ducats. You can find Prime Blueprints and Components by opening Relics during Void missions. Each type of relic unlocks a different selection of items, so you may want to refine them in your Orbiter to increase your chances of getting rare items.
Another way to obtain Ducats is by purchasing them from Varzia during the Prime Resurgence event, where you can get five Ducats for one Aya. However, this isn’t the most effective method, as Aya can also be used to buy other valuable items from Varzia.
How to Spend Ducats
You can primarily use Ducats when the Void Trader, Baro Ki’teer, visits one of the several relays throughout the Origin System. This special merchant makes an appearance every two weeks, staying for just two days before departing until the next cycle. Be aware that the items he offers change with each visit.
Baro sells unique weapons, cosmetic items, and mods that you can’t find elsewhere, so it’s wise to gather as many Ducats as possible.
In addition to using Ducats for Baro’s offerings, they can be employed in a few other ways:
- To craft the special weapon, Paracesis.
- To purchase unique decorations in the Iron Wake.
