“Where Winds Meet” features an AI-powered chatbot system for some of its NPCs, letting you have direct conversations with them. You can ask them for items, gather information, or simply try to build a friendship.
Typically, you can get these NPCs to become friends after a few minutes of chatting. However, some, like Fu Lushou, are quick to become angry and may need a more careful approach. Here are some tips for befriending Fu Lushou.
Where to Find Fu Lushou
You can find Fu Lushou just outside the front entrance of the General’s Shrine in Qinghe by the Si Hour. In other times of the day, he’ll be inside a small storage shed to the right of the entrance, but you won’t be able to talk with him then.
Set the time to Si Hour, then go outside the Shrine to locate Fu Lushou.
How to Befriend Fu Lushou
To make friends with Fu Lushou, you need to chat with him using the AI conversation feature. Because these chats are organic, the conversation can go in many directions—there’s no exact script to succeed.
A good trick is to mention Fu Lushou’s dog, Fu Luwa, whom he regards like a big brother. Saying something like, “I’m friends with your brother, Fu Luwa,” can often lead to instant friendship.
If it doesn’t work immediately, you can reset the chat to its starting state and try again. As long as you bring up Fu Lushou’s dog brother, you’ll have a strong chance of becoming friends right away.
If the conversation turns hostile and Fu Lushou attacks, it’s best to log out of the game instead of fighting him. This way, you can restart the conversation more quickly without waiting for him to respawn.
Once you’re friends, Fu Lushou will sometimes send you gifts, usually at the end of each week.
