An undervalued action RPG for the PS5 in 2025 has just announced a sequel, with the original creator leading the project. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers was initially developed by Leenzee, but reports surfaced in April 2026 indicating that the development team had disbanded for good.

Publisher 505 Games revealed a new partnership with Xia Siyuan, the original creator of Wuchang, and his fresh studio, Indolphinity, to develop “a brand-new chapter in the Wuchang universe.” The entire development process will be based in China.
Xia Siyuan commented, “We are closely listening to the voices of players and the community, and we remain dedicated to our original creative goals and cultural roots. Our aim is to meet the long-standing expectations of fans with improved quality and a more complete gaming experience,” as stated in a public announcement.
505 Games has committed funding and will oversee worldwide publishing for the sequel.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers was generally well-received upon release, though the PS5 version received more modest reviews. It holds a Metacritic score of 74/100 on Sony’s platform. On the PlayStation Store, players rated it 3.77 out of 5 stars based on over 26,000 reviews.
