To unlock the Serpent’s Chest in Sukhothai, you’ll need to gather three keys associated with Indiana Jones, which can be found in the Vatican, Giza, and Shanghai. Two of these keys are especially well-concealed, making them tricky to locate due to less-than-clear maps. Additionally, you’ll have to acquire a rebreather in Sukhothai to reach two of the keys, adding to the complexity of the task.
If you’re on the hunt for all three keys to access the Serpent’s Chest in Indiana Jones, I’ve prepared a detailed guide to help you discover their locations.
### Where to Find the Serpent’s Chest in Indiana Jones
You can find the Serpent’s Chest at Voss’ camp in Sukhothai. It’s situated in a smaller side tent next to the main tent. Upon locating it, you’ll trigger a mystery that informs you to revisit locations from previous Indiana Jones adventures, specifically the Vatican, Giza, and Shanghai, to retrieve the keys required for opening it.
Before you start your search for the keys, make sure you’ve secured the rebreather in Sukhothai, which allows you to breathe underwater. You won’t be able to access two of the keys without it. Completing the “A Game of Wits” challenge will help you earn enough to buy this necessary equipment. Once you’ve acquired the rebreather, you can head back to these three sites using the ‘Travels’ section in Indy’s journal to collect the serpent keys as outlined below.
### Indiana Jones Vatican Serpent Key
The Vatican serpent key is likely the most challenging to uncover. The map misdirects you, as the key is actually located beneath your initial destination, accessed through a cleverly hidden hole in a dim area.
To find it, go to the excavation site where the bulldozer broke through the roof. Drop into the hole you exited earlier, and follow the marker until you arrive at a chamber featuring a chandelier, which you can swing across using your whip.
Instead of heading directly toward the marker, aim for a leaning pillar in this area.
If you look down from the ledge above, you’ll spot an alcove you can drop into. Once there, locate a small hole in the wall that leads to a new area. Follow the path and you’ll eventually discover the Ancient Vatican Key hidden inside a broken urn.
### Indiana Jones Giza Serpent Key
The Giza serpent key can be found at the Khentkawes I Dig site, where you previously activated a lift during the “Secret of the Queen Mother” mission. When you arrive, swim to the indicated area to find a pathway leading into a small underwater chamber.
Ensure that you have your rebreather equipped, as there’s a wooden beam you need to move. Once you clear that obstacle, swim into the new area to find the Giza serpent key resting on a sandy patch.
### Indiana Jones Shanghai Serpent Key
The Shanghai serpent key is likely the easiest to locate. Refer to the map for guidance, and when you reach the canal area shown, go to the specified point there.
Be sure to use the rebreather again, as diving underwater in this spot will reveal a wooden beam that needs to be removed. After you lift that, swim into a small area where the Shanghai serpent key is positioned on a muddy bank.
### What’s Inside the Serpent’s Chest in Indiana Jones?
After all your efforts, what awaits you in the Serpent’s Chest? Unfortunately, your reward is just another ancient relic. Collecting this relic will earn you 180 Adventure points, and completing the chest will give you an additional 250 points, totaling 430 Adventure points. And that’s the sum of it!
