The treasure map for the Avowed Intimidating Feline Codpiece can be tricky to locate, as it lies hidden in the far eastern part of Dawnshore. I stumbled upon the treasure while casually exploring near the Watcher’s Mirror, so it’s not entirely secret. However, if you’re relying solely on the visual clues from the map, you might find yourself wandering without success, as the area lacks clear reference points. To help, I’ve outlined the steps to uncover the intriguingly named Intimidating Feline Codpiece treasure in Avowed.
Location of the Avowed Intimidating Feline Codpiece Treasure
The Intimidating Feline Codpiece treasure map isn’t straightforward. Unless you’ve reached the eastern edge of the map and seen the large river gorge, it’s hard to pinpoint the cliffside path shown on the map. The path closely follows the area near the Watcher’s Mirror, but the best starting point is the party camp in the Rise. Here’s where to go:
- From the Rise party camp, head east-southeast. You’ll need to make your way up a hill with a cliff to your left.
- As you follow the cliff, keep an eye out for a large skeleton embedded in the opposite side of the gorge.

Once past the skeleton, drop down to the lower track. Look for a path on your left that runs north along the cliff side toward the Watcher’s Mirror.
ADVERTISEMENT - Continue along the path until you reach the tunnel entrance. You’ll need to break through some wooden planks to get to the hidden treasure.
At the end of this adventure, you’ll find a loot chest containing the Stelgaer’s Pride armor. This piece enhances your combat abilities by automatically triggering Barbaric Shout whenever you take significant damage (over 30% of your health). Barbaric Shout interrupts enemies and allows your weapon strikes to be more effective and harder to interrupt. In addition to that, this armor offers a damage reduction of 18% and an extra 15% reduction, along with a 5% boost to stamina regeneration.
Besides the armor, I also discovered 20 Silver Fenning, equating to about 120 Currency, a Common Grimoire of the Elements, three Pelts, an Iron Chunk, and a single Primal Water. While not an enormous haul, these resources can certainly help as you upgrade your gear for the upcoming challenges in Avowed.
