The Helion Gate is just another space station in Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector. However, it’s been deserted for a long time, so you won’t find any NPCs here. Instead of buying your supplies, you’ll need to scavenge from the remnants of old wrecks.
This place is fairly small, but don’t worry – we’ll walk you through everything you need to know, including how to tackle the Shipmind Wreck contract you’ll get while checking out the Helion Gate’s records. If you play your cards right, you might even add a new crew member to your ship before leaving the system.
The Helion Gate
As mentioned earlier, the Helion Gate isn’t your typical space station. If you lack points in Endure, collecting fuel and supplies may prove challenging. Since this isn’t a contracted job, your Push Ability won’t help you improve your chances. You’ll mostly focus on two key areas: the Solheim Records and the Customs Hall. Below, we’ve detailed both sections.
Solheim Records
Your main goal here is to clear the Idle Minds mission. After that, you’ll encounter Juni. She’ll offer to join your crew and supply you with the Shipmind Wreck contract.

Customs Hall
In the Customs Hall, you’ll gather the supplies you need. For every two points in the Within The Gate objective you achieve, you gain access to another area to search. After two points, the Derelict Fuel Barge becomes available; at four points, you can access the Seized Cargo, and at six points, the Gate Structure opens up. The Derelict Fuel Barge provides fuel, Seized Cargo yields supplies, and you can retrieve Raw Scrap and Solheim Data from the Gate Structure.
Getting through Customs Hall can be quite a struggle for most classes. Expect significant disadvantages, particularly if you’re an operator.

The Shipmind Wreck Contract
When you finish the Tracing The Shipmind goal, a Conway drone will show up. While you’re in the Cradle of the wreck, watch out for the Conway alert system as you’ll have the option to alert the drone. Though following the cables won’t trigger the alert, it will take you more time.
After you finish the Extraction Strategy task, your mission is to disconnect the Port and Starboard Nodes. Bringing along Bliss and Juni makes for great allies. While Yu-Jin has cable tracking skills, he may not be much help afterward.
If you decide not to take Juni on the Shipmind Wreck contract, you miss the chance to recruit her.
To wrap up the contract, head back to Flotsam to complete the “Diagnose Your Frame” task, which rewards you with two skill points.

What Happens If You Alert The Conway Drone?
If you fail too many attempts while trying to unlink the Port and Starboard nodes, you could get too close to being caught by the Conway Drone. At that point, Serafin will instruct you to abandon the mission, and you may connect with the Shipmind without going through the disconnection protocols.
From what I’ve seen, this doesn’t seem to have any huge consequences apart from Jean-Mi commenting on the Shipmind’s condition while helping you. While there might be unseen effects, it looks like there aren’t any tangible rewards for completing the contract without setting off the drone.
