In Chapter 16 of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, the girls are experiencing some of their happiest moments. "Echoes of Summer" captures the genuine joy of Swann and her friends as they clean and personalize their cabin, turning it into a cherished retreat.
However, just as summer days are brief, this chapter also passes quickly. As always, you have many opportunities to interact with the girls, deepening your friendships or perhaps even sparking something more.
A Walk By The Lake
The girls decide to take a break from the cabin and unwind by the water’s edge. As usual, you have the option to film their Spotlight Memoirs if you’re still catching up on these tasks. Regardless of whether you film or not, take a moment to bond with them and initiate some interactions.
Kat is busy digging for animal bones near the radio. You can approach her and choose "Cool, I’ll film it!" but keep in mind that this footage won’t count for any Memoir. If you pause for a moment, Nora will comment on the private beach feel. Initially, you have just one response option, but an additional one will appear if you wait a bit longer. Here’s a quick rundown of the choices:
Choice | Outcome |
---|---|
"Do you guys have a favorite Great Lakes fish?" | Neutral |
"These lakes hold a world record, you know?" | Neutral |
Autumn will suggest that you record the scenic view of the island before you. Doing so earns you an entry for the Scenic Views Memoir. Following that, Nora will request that you turn on the radio, which progresses the story.
Memories of Summer
Before tuning into the radio, you can capture footage of a Great Blue Heron and a Mallard for the Birds Memoir. Keep an eye on the Mallard, as it may swim away quickly. If you head back to the cabin, you can also collect footage for the Woodland Ruins Memoir by filming the cabin, the deer-shaped weather vane, and the firepit next to Autumn.
Here’s a tip: there are older Memoir pieces available again, like ones for Hunting and Critters and some previous bird sightings. If you missed them earlier, now’s your chance to grab them.
Feel free to interact with the bush next to Autumn for a little extra dialogue. When you’re ready, turn up the radio and prepare to make some lasting memories.
Back to the Cabin
Once you’ve wrapped up your adventure, the girls return to the cabin and decide to name it. This name will stick with you for the rest of the game, so think carefully about whether you prefer Fawn’s Curse or Fawn’s Rest. After selecting a name, your next task is to fill out the Fawn’s Memoir by recording special items like the Bloom & Rage poster and the personal corners of each girl.
More Memoirs are available inside the cabin, including:
- Terrible Toys: If you found the dirty troll doll in a hole with Kat back during The First Night, it’s now beside Swann’s corner.
- Graffiti: While the cabin has various graffiti, the only one you can collect is the blue-haired girl’s art by the door.
Kat will express her fondness for the name, and if you say "It’s not for hunters anymore," you’ll earn a bit of approval from her. The girls will share their take on the name you chose:
- For Fawn’s Rest, Nora will comment on the name, allowing you to respond with "Maybe the deer will come back now…" without any significant consequences.
- For Fawn’s Curse, Autumn will initially be displeased, and you can say "Maybe the ghosts drove out the hunter!" which likewise has no impact on relationships.
After those lighthearted moments, the conversation shifts to ideas about taking a bath in the cabin. Swann might quip, "Where would you poop?", but this too has no serious implications. If you explore the trapdoor passage and enjoy the view of the lake, you’ll get some additional dialogue.
Once you’ve completed all interactions and filled out the Fawn’s Memoir, head toward the door to finish the chapter.
