Fortnite Kicks were set to introduce a brand new way for players to customize their characters, but the launch has hit some snags. Players were expecting to add new shoes to their lockers starting November 13, but that has now been postponed due to ongoing issues. So you’ll have to hold tight a bit longer before you can snag this new footwear.
This delay has led to some confusion, particularly with the Air Jordan 1 High OG Black Toe Reimagined appearing as a potential in-game reward after the v32.10 update. While players can claim these Fortnite Kicks, they won’t be able to actually use them on their characters until the issues are sorted out. Once everything is fixed, players will be able to equip shoes from popular brands like Nike and Jordan, along with some original designs inspired by Fortnite. If you’re curious about when you can finally get your hands on these Kicks, here’s what you need to know.
When can we expect Fortnite Kicks to launch?
Fortnite Kicks were anticipated to launch as new cosmetic items on November 13, but their release has been postponed due to some visual issues. However, they will still make it into the game – you can unlock the Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG Black Toe Reimagined through the Remix Pass, but players won’t be able to wear them until the problem is sorted out. Once everything is resolved, they will also appear in the Item Shop. Initially, the footwear will only feature Nike and Jordan brands, but more options will be available down the road. Additionally, there will be Fortnite Original Kicks not part of the Remix Pass; the first pair, the shark slippers (shown above), will become available for purchase in the Item Shop once the issues are resolved.
Can you use Fortnite Kicks with all outfits?
Epic is making significant efforts to ensure that Fortnite Kicks can be worn with a wide array of outfits. This task requires extensive adjustments to numerous character models to accommodate the new footwear. According to their announcement, “Kicks will initially be compatible with over 500 of the most popular Fortnite Outfits, and by Spring next year, over 95% of Outfits will have this compatibility.” While some Outfits may pose challenges for integration, the majority will work seamlessly with the new Kicks.
