Fire Emblem Engage features only two distinct endings. The outcome is determined by the climactic battle against Sombron, which unfolds in Chapter 26: The Last Engage.
If players succeed, they’ll unlock the good ending; if they do not, they will experience the bad ending. Those are the only two outcomes available. If you’re interested in learning how to achieve your preferred ending in Fire Emblem Engage or whether paired endings exist like in previous Fire Emblem titles, you’ve come to the right place.
Good Ending
To unlock the good ending, you must successfully defeat Sombron. After the credits roll, a post-credit scene will reward you with additional content. This scene features Alear’s final moments alongside their romantic partner.
Bad Ending
In the final confrontation, your mission is to reclaim the time crystal. If you fail at this task, a cutscene will ensue, leading to a bad ending as you lose to Sombron.
Should you encounter a bad ending, you have the option to reload your saved game and give the final battle another shot.
Are there Paired Endings in FE Engage?
Fire Emblem Engage does not feature paired endings in the same manner as earlier Fire Emblem titles. Nevertheless, if you achieve a good ending, you will witness a paired scene involving the protagonist, Alear, and their selected romantic partner.
There are no additional paired endings between other characters since support ranks are capped at A-rank except for the individual who receives the Pact Ring. Consequently, only Alear can connect with one partner in the game’s conclusion.
