Everything We Know About Helldivers 2 Vehicles

Players have been eagerly anticipating the inclusion of vehicles, like cars and ATVs, in Helldivers 2 since its initial release. Although there hasn’t been an official announcement, various leaks, datamines, and teasers suggest that the game’s developers might be considering or even planning to add vehicles. Below, we summarize what we know about the potential vehicle features in Helldivers 2.

Details and Leaks About Helldivers 2 Vehicles

To clarify, Arrowhead Game Studios has not officially confirmed that vehicles will be added to Helldivers 2. However, numerous leaks, gameplay clips, and discussions hint that vehicles are likely on the way. Here’s what we’ve gathered about vehicles in Helldivers 2:

  • Two vehicles have been leaked, probably through hacking. Numerous clips have circulated, showcasing gameplay that features an armored buggy with room for four Helldivers and a gunner position, alongside a six-wheeled vehicle reminiscent of the original M5 APC with multiple gunner spots. Though the clips are scarce and frequently removed, snippets shared by Twitter/X user @somnium_dusk provide a glimpse of the vehicles in action.

  • Most of the leaked footage is from players who encountered hackers capable of spawning vehicles and other unreleased features by exploiting existing game files. It’s important to note that hacking could lead to a ban, so it’s best to avoid doing so.
  • Vehicles appear to be Stratagems that players can call in during missions. This aligns with how vehicles were used in the original Helldivers game, where each vehicle Stratagem had limited uses per mission, similar to the Exosuits in Helldivers 2.
  • During missions, wrecked vehicles can be found. While this is merely cosmetic, it echoes the precedent set by Helldivers 1 and raises the question of when players might be able to drive these vehicles.
  • The timing of updates and the Helldivers 2 roadmap are unpredictable, making it difficult to speculate on when vehicles might be introduced.

The evidence strongly suggests that vehicles will be added to Helldivers 2 in the future. However, the leaked footage likely showcases vehicles still under development, which might be subject to modifications or even cancellation. We’ll be sure to keep this page updated with any new information regarding vehicles in Helldivers 2 as it becomes available.

In Helldivers 1, players had access to seven vehicles to navigate missions, a feature that is currently absent in the sequel. While you can pilot Mechs, vehicles on wheels are not available. Arrowhead has not confirmed any vehicle additions for Helldivers 2 yet, but here’s a rundown of the vehicles available in the original game to give you an idea of what might come next:

  • “Lumberer” Exosuit: There is currently no equivalent to this Mech from Helldivers 1 in the sequel, which had a powerful 90mm cannon and a flamethrower.
  • MC-109 Hammer Motorcycle: A nimble two-person motorcycle with a sidecar.
  • M5 APC: A large, six-wheeled vehicle designed to fit four Helldivers—one driver, a turret gunner, and two sponson gunners.
  • M5-23 HAV: A more heavily armored version of the M5 APC, trading some mobility for increased firepower and durability, featuring a 90mm cannon.
  • TD-110 Bastion: This mini tank requires both a driver and a gunner to operate its massive cannon.
