Atomfall offers players the freedom to explore its vast world at their own speed, yet it incorporates numerous features typical of open-world action games. You’ll find skills, multi-step quests, and a variety of abilities to keep you engaged.
One aspect that might become frustrating early in the game is the stamina system. As you traverse the world, your character’s heart rate rises until you can no longer run. This is indicated at the bottom right of the screen, next to the health bar, with the edges of the screen darkening when you reach your maximum heart rate. It’s advisable to boost your maximum heart rate as soon as possible.
How to Boost Your Stamina
While there are techniques to manage your heart rate as you run—like slowing down just before you hit the stamina limit—there is one effective method to permanently boost your stamina.
In the skills menu, look for the Endurance Training skill in the Conditioning section. It’s positioned at the top left of that menu. Unlocking this skill will increase your maximum stamina and help your heart rate rise more slowly, allowing you to run for longer periods without needing to stop. It will also eliminate the annoying heart beat sound that accompanies high heart rates.
Good news: this skill doesn’t require a Skill Book. To unlock the Endurance Training skill, you will need five Training Stimulants. These can be found in chests and acquired from other players throughout the world of Atomfall.
Once you’ve unlocked the Endurance Training skill, your stamina will be maximized. There won’t be any further options to enhance your stamina or reduce your heart rate.
