Easy Loan Payoff Strategies in Planet Coaster 2

As you make your way through the main campaign of Planet Coaster 2, you’ll face various challenges stemming from poor decisions in management. You have the opportunity to turn things around by using your coaster design skills to breathe new life into any struggling amusement park. If you can navigate a park that’s buried in debt, you can tackle anything!

Fortunately, there’s a roadmap to help you increase revenue, pay off loans, and transform the water park into something extraordinary. We’ll support you every step of the way so you can enjoy the process while showcasing your creativity with exciting coasters!

Bronze Objectives

Upon your arrival at the park, it will be in disarray, mired in loans. However, you can flip the situation by utilizing those loans to create outstanding rides and slides. These attractions will attract visitors and generate income, allowing you to settle your debts and start earning profits.

Construct Guest Services and a Restroom

The first task is to set up a guest services building and a restroom. A guest services facility is crucial for park attendees, as they can purchase essential supplies and water park passes there.

Next, add a restroom to the park. You’ll find several building options nearby, but you can place the facility anywhere you prefer.

Once that’s in place, be sure to hire a janitor to keep the restroom clean.

Research New Attractions and Expand the Park

After completing the initial steps, you’ll want to unlock new rides to fill your park. Access the research menu and select the flat rides section, starting with Spinning Flat Rides.

With your recent findings, you’ll need to acquire more land to place your new rides. Use the funds from the loans to purchase a plot and install a new flat ride for guests to enjoy.

Don’t forget to ensure there’s enough power for the ride!

Construct a New Pool

Your next objective in achieving the bronze badge is to build a proper pool facility. This includes not only a new pool but also at least two changing rooms nearby.

You need a minimum average pool prestige of 300, but that should be fairly easy to achieve.

Create a custom pool or use one of the premade options for ease. Once they’re set up, ensure that 90% of the pools are supervised by lifeguards for safety.

To do this, visit the custom scenery tab to find lifeguard posts. Position them to cover the pool area adequately, ensuring distressed guests can be rescued.

This will fulfill the bronze badge objectives, putting you on the path to revitalizing the park!

Silver Objectives

As your park expands, you’ll need to promote that the water park is on the rise. The most effective way to do this is to launch an advertising campaign, but you’ll need a few more attractions first.

Finish the American Arrow

The first attraction to focus on is the incomplete American Arrow coaster, the large yellow ride near the water’s edge. You can experiment with different track sections to finalize the ride, but make sure it isn’t too intense for your guests.

Once the coaster is finished, conduct a test run and open it up. Remember to adjust the ticket prices to draw in more visitors!

Construct Two Flumes

Next, your goal is to build two new flumes for the pool. Whether you opt for a straightforward slide or a more intricate design with curves and unique features, make sure there’s enough space for them along with a clear entrance for visitors.

You can install multiple flumes on the same platform!

Initiate an Advertisement

With your attractions running, it’s time to launch an advertisement. Go to the guests tab, then switch to the advertising section. Choose the Long Flume Enthusiasts ad campaign and activate it.

Remember, spending more on the advertisement means it will finish sooner!

Once you confirm that the advertisement is live, you’ll gradually see more guests arriving to enjoy your pools and park attractions. This completes the silver objectives, awarding you a new badge and allowing you to advance to the gold challenges.

Gold Objectives

As your park gains momentum, it’s time to elevate your efforts and create even more attractions to entice visitors. You will need not only additional pools but also more coasters to appeal to a broader audience.

Add Another Flat Ride and Coaster

The first task is to install a fourth flat ride and ensure it’s operational. It can be similar to an existing ride, but parks typically perform better with a variety of attractions. Position it near your other rides to maintain enough power for operation!

Next up, you’ll need to create another coaster. You can either design a small circuit from scratch or purchase a pre-made coaster. While pricier, pre-built options are quicker to set up and attract more visitors.

This means you should have a total of two coasters in your park!

Add More Pools

Once you’ve constructed additional coasters, turn your focus back to pools. Your objective is to have at least four pools with an average prestige rating of 400 or above. Opting for pre-made pools can be advantageous, as they typically come with plenty of decorative elements that enhance the prestige.

Including extras like wave machines and lifeguard stations will boost your prestige ratings.

Keep Your Park in Shape

After this building phase, your focus should shift to maintenance. Keeping the average rating above 80 percent will require some diligence, but hiring additional mechanics and scheduling repairs will help improve this score.

Don’t hesitate to set up emergency repairs as needed. To complete this objective, you’ll need at least ten rides operating smoothly and in good condition to earn the gold badge and move on to the final challenges in this scenario.

Platinum Objectives

Your park is nearly perfect, but a few key steps remain to ensure it provides the best entertainment possible. This includes constructing several more rides and finally settling those lingering loans.

Create a Custom Coaster

While you’ve built coasters before, this one comes with a specific requirement. It must feature at least one drop of 40 meters or more, which can be a challenge if you haven’t attempted it yet.

You could have the track initially elevate the coaster and then let it drop or start from a high platform and let the cart descend. Set the coaster to open after a successful testing phase and prepare to upgrade your pools once more.

Achieve Five Prestigious Pools and Flumes

This time, you’ll need five pools, each with a prestige rating of 500 or higher. Adding wave machines and jets is a great way to enhance the pools, along with placing lounge chairs for sunbathers and other decorative elements.

Diving boards are an excellent addition to entice guests without occupying too much room!

Keep refining your pools’ appearance until their prestige surpasses the target rating. On top of this, you must have at least five flumes operating in the park. Using pre-built flumes is a smart way to add vibrancy and excitement.

Settle All Loans

Now, all that’s left is to pay off your loans! The initial loan amount is $70,000, and with interest, it will continue to grow. You’ll need ample revenue from your park to pay off these debts. Fortunately, you can make payments on the loans in smaller amounts rather than all at once.

To boost your income, check your finances menu to review pricing for all services, products, and attractions.

Raising ticket prices, offering premium passes, and creating more opportunities for guests to buy food and merchandise can significantly enhance your park’s profits, helping you pay off that loan.

Access the finances menu and select loans to make your final payments and complete the scenario!
