How to Find & Start the Spies Among Us Quest
Where the Quest Begins
To start the "Spies Among Us" quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you must first meet specific prerequisites. Your journey begins with the completion of either "The Dragon Slayer" or "Where the Dead Must Go," which are located in the Antivan Crows’ hideout. Additionally, you need to choose to follow Lucanis during a pivotal moment in the main storyline quest, "A Warden’s Best Friend." Opting to save Minrathous will hinder your progress in accessing this quest.
To kick off the quest, head to the Antivan Crows’ Sanctum in Treviso, situated in the Central district of the city. As you approach, you’ll spot a quest marker that indicates a scroll located near Viago. Interact with the scroll to read it, officially starting the "Spies Among Us" quest. Afterward, venture north from the Sanctum and utilize the zipline to traverse across a gap.
How to Discover Every Clue
Next, proceed to the Crow’s Road Rooftops, which is made easier thanks to the zipline. After disembarking, you’ll encounter a trio of Venatori. Defeat them, then search for a readable note atop some wooden debris at their location. This note will push your quest forward, and don’t forget to grab a level 25 Blight Cyst, useful in the "Gate of Deep Sorrow" quest.
Return to the Crows’ Sanctum and speak with Chance, who can be found near the entrance on the left side of the catwalk. He’ll provide details about the Venatori’s actions and direct you to the Drowned District of Treviso where you can uncover crucial clues. This segment is straightforward, as your quest marker will guide you.
Tips for Finding Clues
It’s simple: follow every quest marker you come across. Although they may appear far away on the minimap, each marker leads you progressively through the quest.
To begin the clue hunt, go to the Drowned District beacon. You’ll notice three quest markers directing your steps. The first clue is easily within reach. The second clue is slightly concealed behind a wooden barrier. Head west from the first clue to find a barrier blocking a ladder, break it down, climb up, and the clue will be on a table in that room. The third clue is a bit trickier but still manageable. Fast travel to the second beacon in the Drowned District, then follow the path east until you enter a room with a closed door. Upon opening it, you’ll find the last clue behind the door, marked with a quest indicator above it.
Completing the Quest
Once you’ve gathered all three clues, return to Chance at the Crows’ Sanctum. He will be pleased with your findings, and you will conclude this side quest. Your rewards include 200 Gold, an armor upgrade, five Fade-Touched Crystals, and 100 Antivan Crows Strength. The strength bonus is significant for a quest of its length, making it an essential task for players to undertake in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
