In Palworld, Pals do not evolve. Despite curiosity and some visual similarities, like the Pengullet and Penking appearing closely related in the Paldeck, these characters are separate and must be caught individually. There are no mechanics in the game that allow Pals to change or grow into new forms over time.
As of now, the game does not include any evolution feature, nor are there plans to add one. Having over 200 different Pals, introducing evolution could complicate things further, and the developers seem to have no intention of changing this.
Instead of evolution, Palworld features variations based on environment. For instance, some Pals have different forms depending on where they are found. Chillet Ignis, for example, only appears in Sakurajima, while its icy counterpart is in a different region. This variation hints at an evolutionary concept rooted in adaptation, similar to real-world species that change based on their surroundings.
Another interesting mechanic is Condensation. This allows you to combine the essence of multiple Pals into your strongest one. You do this by sacrificing the weaker ones, which permanently disappear, in order to boost your main Pal’s strength. For example, sacrificing several Gumoss to make the best one even stronger.
Breeding Pals is also an option, especially if you’re looking to acquire tougher or more strategic companions. This process is one of the easiest ways to get new Pals for battles. If you want to succeed against other players or Pals, it helps to understand the type chart and choose the right weapons for combat.
