Discovering new materials for crafting adds excitement and enchantment to Lego Fortnite Odyssey. While some items are easy to find, others may require a bit more effort to track down.
After upgrading your workbench, you’re now set to craft stronger tools and weapons. But when you check the menu, you notice that some of these creations require Knotroot Rods. What exactly is Knotroot, where can you collect it, and how do you transform it into Knotroot Rods? This guide will provide you with all the essential information about Knotroot!
Updated December 21, 2024 by Meg Pelliccio: We’ve revised this guide to reflect the updates following the transition from Lego Fortnite to Lego Fortnite Odyssey.
Finding Knotroot
Knotroot appears as twisted, knotted roots and is typically found near Marble. You can only discover Knotroot in the Grasslands. Traditionally, it’s located inside caves, but thanks to the Odyssey update, it can now also be located in the Grasslands above ground.
When searching for caves, exercise caution to avoid ice caves. Entering an ice cave without adequate protection can rapidly drain your health.
Make sure to carry Torches, a Sword, and a Shield, as caves can be both dark and filled with skeletons, spiders, scorpions, rollers, and other threats.
With the Odyssey update, you can now harvest Knotroot using a Common Forest Axe or a higher-tier tool. These Axes can be made at your Crafting Bench. The Odyssey’s Component-based Crafting system offers more freedom in the materials you can use during crafting.
Creating Knotroot Rods
Once you’ve gathered Knotroot, you can use the Lumber Mill, which costs 40 Wood to craft, to produce Knotroot Rods. These more advanced Rods will enable you to create stronger tools and weapons.
