Sengoku Dynasty offers a wide variety of items that players can create as they develop their villages and welcome newcomers from all over Nata Valley. Some items are limited to specific locations and particular seasons, making them challenging to find unless you know exactly when and where to search.
As you advance in the game, you’ll find that having a reliable source of hemp and flax fibers is essential for crafting various important items. Once you locate these plants, you can cultivate them in your village, ensuring you have a constant supply without needing to venture out.
Where to Find Hemp in Sengoku Dynasty
You can only harvest hemp during the autumn season. In the other seasons, the plants resemble slender bamboo trees and cannot be interacted with. However, in autumn, hemp is easily recognizable due to its striking red leaves and green stems, making it stand out in areas like Aratani, Segi, and nearby lands.
Hemp is often found along riverbanks, so if you’re having difficulty locating it, that’s the ideal spot to check. A reliable area to find hemp is just south of Aratani village, right next to the river flowing through the bamboo groves.
Where to Find Flax in Sengoku Dynasty
Similarly, flax can only be cultivated and harvested in the summer. However, locating flax in the wild can be trickier than finding hemp since flax plants are smaller and don’t stand out as much when they are growing.
You can discover a field of flax north of Aratani village. These plants blend in with their surroundings, requiring you to get up close to identify them. Flax plants are ordinary but feature small branches with yellow seeds.
How to Farm Hemp and Flax in Sengoku Dynasty
After finding these plants in the wild and collecting at least 15 fibers from each type, along with at least four animal furs in your inventory, you should visit a Tailor workshop. Interact with the tailor’s workbench to access the crafting menu, where you can select the option to create a hemp or flax seed bag.
Note: Hemp and flax can only be cultivated in autumn and summer, respectively.
Once you’ve crafted a seed bag, you can plant it in a field within your village. You’ll need a wooden hoe to prepare the field, but you can also assign one of your villagers to handle that task.
What to Do with Hemp and Flax in Sengoku Dynasty
Both hemp and flax fibers are necessary for crafting linen, a vital material for creating various recipes later in the game, including healing compresses and high-quality clothing. You can use either fiber type to produce linen, but since each plant is seasonal, it’s wise to cultivate both to ensure you can consistently craft linen throughout the year.
Tip: You can craft linen at a loom located within a tailor’s workshop.
By managing your resources effectively, you’ll be well-equipped to thrive in Sengoku Dynasty.
