Farming plays a crucial role in Sengoku Dynasty, and the first item you’ll need are seeds. Early in the game, you might depend on merchants for seed bags, which can cost 180 coins each—a hefty price tag. To save coins, it’s best to start brewing your own seed bags as soon as you can.
Fortunately, making seed bags isn’t overly complicated. As long as you gather some essential materials and have the necessary buildings, you can cultivate almost any plant you’ve discovered in the wild or purchased from vendors.
How to Make Seed Bags in Sengoku Dynasty
To create seed bags, the first step is to construct a Tailor in any of your villages. After that, head to the Tailor’s Workstation, where you can find the option to craft seed bags in the bottom two sections of its menu—one for land crops and another for water crops.
Each seed bag requires two components:
- 4 Fur
- 5-25 of the plant you’re generating seeds from (the quantity varies by plant; those that yield more may need more for seeding).
Since seed bags use fur instead of linen, you won’t have to hunt for flax or hemp, making the crafting process straightforward.
Where to Find Materials for Crafting Seed Bags
You can locate most plants in the wild, provided they are in season, but you may need to venture off the main road to find them. Alternatively, it’s much simpler to buy them from a Food Merchant; consider visiting nearby villages or setting up a stall in your own town. Merchants can also be found near bridges constructed through special projects.
Note that staple crops like wheat and rice won’t grow naturally in the wild, so you’ll need to purchase a seed bag from a merchant or gather enough plants to create your own once you have a Tailor.
Fur can only be obtained by skinning an animal if you possess the Animal Trophy Hunter perk from Way of the Warrior. However, hunting for fur can be an inefficient method, so it’s better to build a Hunter’s Hut and assign a villager to gather fur instead.
You don’t need more than one seed bag for your farming tasks at a time, but crafting them in bulk can be profitable, as they sell for 42.75 coins each.
