Weaver’s Will is a special modifier found on certain Unique items in Last Epoch. This modifier allows items to gain various new effects as you defeat monsters. When you equip an item with Weaver’s Will, you can enhance its power by gathering kills, transforming the weapon into something significantly stronger. This feature offers an engaging way to generate Legendary gear for players who may not enjoy the crafting system.
If you’ve spotted this modifier and want to better understand its mechanics, you’re in the right place. This brief guide will explain what Weaver’s Will does, how its effects activate, and will provide examples of how to increase your chances of obtaining items with Weaver’s Will.
What Is Weaver’s Will?
Weaver’s Will is an implicit modifier that randomly adds new effects as you defeat enemies. When you examine an item with Weaver’s Will, you will see a number next to this modifier. This indicates the number of "charges" remaining, or the number of times you can trigger Weaver’s Will before the modifier wears off.
When you activate Weaver’s Will, one of two things can happen:
- A new modifier is applied to the item.
- An existing modifier is upgraded by one tier.
For items with fewer affixes, you can expect a higher chance of getting new modifiers added. Uniquely, items with Weaver’s Will can reach the Legendary rarity if enough enhancements accumulate. However, the exact outcomes are ultimately dependent on chance.
Additionally, up to four affixes can be added to an item with Weaver’s Will—two prefixes and two suffixes. It’s essential to note that these items cannot be altered through traditional crafting methods, except for using Runes of Weaving, which will utilize all Weaver’s Will charges at once to upgrade the item, bypassing the usual experience requirement.
In many cases, you’ll simply see one of your existing affixes enhanced by one tier. The specific modifier that gets upgraded is chosen at random, and it is theoretically possible to achieve top-tier stats (T6+) through Weaver’s Will procs, although this is quite rare.
How To Obtain Weaver’s Will
Weaver’s Will is associated with specific Unique items and can drop from various sources, but your chances can be improved by farming Monoliths with Unique drop modifiers. Since Weaver’s Will items are always Uniques, you have a better opportunity to find them in areas modified for Unique drops. This also includes blessings like the Grand Wins of Fortune, which can enhance your chances.
In Season 2, a new faction called The Woven was introduced, allowing players to increase the likelihood of finding Weaver’s Will Uniques through certain upgrade nodes in the Weaver Tree. Progressing through the Monolith of Fate endgame content and leveling your factions will help you accumulate Weaver’s Will items more effectively.
