In **Schedule 1**, your journey begins with small-time dealing, starting off with a simple strain of cannabis. As you climb the ranks, you’ll have the chance to unlock a variety of strains and products. This works well for a bit, but if you’re aiming for significant profits, experimenting is key.
With a Mixing Station and several ingredients at your disposal, you can create new strains tailored to meet your customers’ specific needs. Not only will this enhance customer satisfaction, but it will also lead to higher profits, as the complexity and quality of a strain directly impact its market value.
Keep in mind that **Schedule 1 is currently in Early Access** on Steam, so some details in this article may change over time.
Mixing New Strains
To boost your profits in the game, you should create new combinations of Weed, Meth, and Coke using the **Mixing Station**. This station becomes available when you attain the **Hoodlum I rank** and can be purchased from **Dan’s Hardware for $500**.
Upon reaching the **Peddler II rank**, you can buy the enhanced **Mixing Station Mk2** from Oscar in his warehouse, enabling automatic mixing in larger batches.
At each **Mixing Station**, you can fit up to 20 products in the **leftmost slot** and have another 20 of a mixer ingredient (like Cuke, Donuts, or Chilis) in the **right slot**.

With the **regular Mixing Station**, you have to **manually move the items** into the pot before starting the mix. However, with the upgraded version, you can simply **add the items and kick off the process**, making it far easier to manage and automate your mixing tasks.
The **base recommended price for a new strain is determined by taking the original strain’s selling price and adding up the cost of each individual ingredient**—then, you would roughly double or triple that amount.
You can combine any of the **four types of Weed** and **single types of Meth and Coke** with **15 different ingredients** to create a **new strain that has a higher value** than the original. You can continue to **mix them further** with different ingredients to develop an even more profitable product with combined effects.
Automating the Mixing Process
When you reach **Hoodlum V rank** and unlock the warehouse, you’ll meet Manny the Fixer, who lets you **hire workers for your operation** in categories like Cleaners, Botanists, Chemists, and Handlers.
These roles will help you **automate various processes** and enhance production efficiency. To automate mixing, you’ll need to hire both **Chemists and Handlers**.
The **ideal time to start hiring Chemists and Handlers is once you’ve settled in the Bungalow**, as this is the first location that accommodates more than one employee at a time.
The **first step** is ensuring you have enough beds for your employees and that you possess all the necessary equipment and storage. The number of Mixing Stations and shelves you need will depend on how complex the recipes are. Here’s a quick process overview:
- Use the Management Clipboard to assign your **Handler to the Mixing Station**, and create their **route from the shelf with the basic strain** to the **Mixing Station** they’re set to manage.
- Assign your **Handler a second route** from the **shelf of the Mixer ingredient** to the **Mixing Station** used for the basic strain.
- Lastly, assign the **Chemist to the Mixing Station** where they can begin creating the first part of the chain, designating the output as either a shelf or another Mixing Station, and they’ll start mixing.
If you prefer to have products packaged after a single mix, you can assign the same **Handler to a Packaging Station** and set the ending destination for that station. You can also create an additional route from the **Mixing Station** of the finished product to the **Packaging Station**.
To enhance organization and minimize wasted time, consider assigning specific tasks to different employees, such as designating one Handler for packaging and another solely for moving products and ingredients.
For **strains with multiple ingredients**, you’ll need to hire additional Handlers and Chemists, along with more Mixing and Packaging Stations. The overall workflow remains similar: instead of moving the product to shelves, set each Handler’s route to transport ingredients between shelves and Mixing Stations, ensuring everything is placed correctly.
Finally, make sure each Chemist is busy at their stations to **transfer completed products to the next Mixing Stations** in line, while a separate Handler takes care of packaging at the end.
