Completing the Cage Key Quest on the Tea Table in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Embarking on a journey through Disney Dreamlight Valley can lead you to intriguing challenges and puzzles, especially when Alice goes missing and your sole companion is the Cheshire Cat. Known for his playful nature, he’ll challenge you with riddles that you must solve to aid your new friend.

Luckily, you’re not on this adventure alone. We’ve done the groundwork to make it easier for you to navigate the quest and help Alice return to her normal size. Here’s a simple guide to assist Alice in her mission within the Queen’s Maze, ensuring you avoid capture by the guards.

Crafting the Contrary Perfume

Once you escape the Queen’s Maze, you’ll discover Alice perched on a tea table. She has shrunk down to an incredibly small size and needs your help to return to her original form. She instructs you to find the Cheshire Cat, who knows how to help her.

Return to the Cheshire Cat’s tree and ask how to recreate the potion. He’ll guide you to collect various ingredients scattered throughout the forest, which you can find listed below:

Obtaining the Jar of Hearts

Return to the location where you first entered and use your Royal Fishing Rod on the orange bubbles in the pond. This will reward you with the Jar of Heart Candies, a delightful and necessary ingredient for your recipe.

Assisting the Singing Flowers

Next, make your way to the heart of the forest and speak to the singing flower matriarch. They’re in need of assistance as their creativity seems to have withered. Utilize your Royal Watering Can on the pansies close by and collect two bags of Discontented Seeds that they drop.

Locating the Blue Mushroom

Return to the starting area and seek out the large blue mushroom emitting smoke. Wear something blue to lift its spirits, and collect the mushroom it drops.

Responding to the Pencil Bird’s Queries

Your final test is to answer all the questions posed by the pencil bird, who is waiting just outside the starting area. Here are the questions and their answers to help you succeed:

Once you answer all the questions correctly, collect your reward and head to the crafting table to combine everything. After creating the Contrary Perfume, deliver it to Alice at the tea table.

Discovering the Queen of Hearts’ Tea Table

Upon giving Alice the perfume, she returns to her original size. She’ll invite you to follow her to reveal the true reason for her visit. The Queen of Hearts has captured several woodland creatures to keep as pets, and Alice is determined to set them free.

However, to do this, you’ll need the keys to their cages. The keys are scattered across the tea table, so you’ll need to get a closer look. Use the Contrary perfume on yourself near the table to shrink and inspect your surroundings.

Once on the table, use your camera to take a picture, then navigate across the plates to utilize the squeeze bulb for more perfume. Afterward, return down and use the perfume puddles to grow back to your normal size and report back to Alice.

Locating the Cage Keys

Discuss with Alice how to better search for the keys on the table. She’ll direct you to explore the garden for playing cards, lost marbles, and lovely dice, all available in the garden clearing. Once you’ve collected these items, place them on the tea table and use the perfume to shrink once again.

While on the table, you can find the keys in these locations:

• On the dice. To the left of the entrance, you’ll find dice stacked with a key on top.
• In the teacup. Move the cards to reach the cracked teapot. Use your Royal Pickaxe on it to pour the tea, then fish out the key from the bottom.
• In the sugar cubes. Just past the dice, use your watering can on the sugar cubes to free the key hidden inside.
• In the cupcake frosting. Navigate the cards to climb to the top of the cupcake, then dig out the key with your shovel.

With all four keys in hand, return to Alice to free the caged animals and complete the quest!
