Lonely Door
Complete Chapter 1.
To earn this achievement, you must finish the entire chapter.
Knicky-Knocky
They’ll answer sooner or later.
You can knock on several doors throughout the game, including the metal storage-unit doors leading to the casino. Knocking on them repeatedly will unlock this achievement (the specific doors don’t matter).
On A Night Like This
Find tranquility by the coast.
There’s a vertical stack of two taxis located near the middle of the desert-like area. Interacting with these taxis transports you to a city street at night. Down one of the streets, you’ll see a man looking up at the stars. Interact with him to unlock this achievement.
Blink and You’ll Miss It
What was that?! It felt too real.
This achievement relies on time and chance. There’s a small possibility that your character will blink during gameplay. When the blink happens, the achievement unlocks. Keep in mind that you can’t blink while the game is paused or when you’re in the tab menu.
If you haven’t gotten lucky while playing, switching tabs or stepping away from the keyboard could help you achieve this.
Advanced Consumer Society
Discover the high-end gift shop.
In the secret city street needed for the On A Night Like This achievement, there’s a door on the right side of the man that looks like it leads to an apartment. Go through that door, and you’ll find yourself in a maze.
This maze has multiple levels, and finding your way through isn’t always straightforward. It includes winding hallways, one-way invisible walls, and three actual levels, plus one hidden door level. To progress through the first two levels, you’ll have to drop through various pits to reach the next level. Dropping into dark pits on the last level will reset your progress. However, falling into the gift shop on level three will grant you this achievement.
Crone Operator
Help a sister in need.
In the back area of the desert, amidst some rundown buildings, you’ll find a crane. Interacting with the crane initiates a mini-game where you need to move the witch to the other witches at the bottom left. Successfully completing this on your first try unlocks the achievement (you must have chatted with the witch and started the Have You Seen This Witch quest first).
Please Don’t Tap the Glass
Observe an ecosystem at work.
In the casino, behind the Receptionist, there’s a glass tank filled with unusual contents. Stand in front of the tank and watch for a few minutes to achieve this goal.
(For your information, the achievement activated for us after a few minutes, just as we zoomed in using the right click, but we don’t believe that zooming was critical for this achievement.)
Salesman’s Delight
Dreaming beneath the night’s red sky.
In the initial area with the red sky and the large black object above, head to the blue bed. Do not interact with the bed; instead, turn around and move through the opening in the buildings. In the building to the left of the second gap, crouch-jump onto the counter and interact with the mannequin curled up on the ground for this achievement.
Candidate Review
Call to discuss the unusual applicant.
Speaking with Coral Glasses in the hub will provide you with a data matrix of her fax number. Scanning this code is quite challenging, as regular phone cameras typically won’t capture it. Taking a photo and using an online barcode scanner can reveal the number.
In the desert area, locate and talk to the Taski Maiden wandering to the right of the large bridge. After talking to her, enter any building and enter the decoded number using your keyboard’s numpad.
(We’ll provide the number in a note at the end of this guide.)
Bad Samaritan
Choose not to help.
There’s a significant bridge in the desert leading to the witch’s area. A character will start a conversation with you before crossing the bridge and will end up seriously injured. You’ll have the option to assist, but if you wait a few minutes without helping, they will eventually die, and you’ll receive the achievement.
Weird Dog
He cherishes his toy.
Close to the entrance of the desert area, there’s a building with a giant snake head biting into it, located to the right. After you talk to the wizard and obtain the Humanboard, parkour onto the dirt mound near the building with the snake head, use the Humanboard to reach the roof, and pet the snake.
Razing the Roofs
Was it ignorance or cruel intent?
In the last area with the blindfolded king and the courtyard filled with small structures, you can interact with every building. Interact with every building except the fifth one on the left side to unlock this achievement.
Patient Listener
Listen to all the thoughts of a blue primate.
There’s a secret door at the left side of the final courtyard area; you can’t interact with it, but you can pass through as if it’s not there. Inside is a blue and white creature. Interact with it to listen to its dialogue. It has about ten minutes of conversation, and once you’ve heard everything, you’ll earn this achievement.
Sick Tricks
Get to the bathroom without any bodies involved.
This is likely the most challenging achievement in this chapter. You need to reach the area with a giant portable toilet and a river of light in front of it, just before the final area. There are moving platforms on the river of light, and jumping across these platforms to the other side will earn you this achievement. Expect your vision to be obscured during this challenge; failure means you’ll have to try again from a new save.
