Complete Story Solutions for Chapter 1 in The Golden Idol Rise

Once you finish a case in The Rise of the Golden Idol, you’ll gain a better understanding of the overall story. Clues will start to connect, various motives will become clearer, and the mystery will gradually unfold. After wrapping up each chapter’s cases, you’re required to summarize all the events you’ve observed.

In the first chapter, titled "The Curse," the puzzles aren’t very difficult, but there are several spots where you might get stuck or need a bit of guidance. Fortunately, we’re here to assist you.

This guide was created using the Extended Demo of the game, and it will be revised and updated when the full version is released.

All Story I Solutions

To complete this section fully, make sure you’ve finished specific cases first. With those done, you’ll have a solid understanding of what happened. The words around the gaps and the colors of the missing words should provide enough hints, provided you’ve been attentive.

Most clues will require you to check the new information displayed in the case selection screen, including:

  • The poster features a letter related to a character’s son. Which characters are parents?
  • The paper airplane implies a person has seen a body. Who witnessed any bodies in this chapter? Who’s identity is under scrutiny?
  • The "Red Curse" involves drug users. Is there any truth to this?
  • The lab results are significant. They’re a bit cryptic but can be easily interpreted along with the hints given by the puzzle panel.

All Story II Solutions

After you solve the first Story, you can move on to the second one. This is shorter and focuses on the initial victim’s death and its aftermath.

This part requires you to look at clues from two different cases to piece together the story:

  • A particular address can be found on both the case selection screen and in the first case of the chapter.
  • Other events are straightforward to figure out based on the actions of a certain person involved in the case.

As a significant lead, before his demise, Isaac Nowak went to meet someone at the Steelside warehouse. Days later, an associate tied to the Steelside warehouse pressured Elizabeth Nowak into bribing Sebastian Walsh, resulting in a halt to the investigation into Isaac Nowak’s death.
