If you’re on a quest to find all the Jizo Statues in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, your goal is to track down all six located in Yamashiro. This area is relatively early in the game, and gaining some additional experience at this stage can be quite beneficial. It’s also around this point that you’ll have the chance to play as Yasuke, which adds a new level of excitement to collecting these statues.
Playing as Yasuke in Assassin’s Creed Shadows is a key moment in the storyline. You’ll spend quite a bit of time in Yamashiro after reuniting with Yasuke, gathering intel about your targets. This exploration opens up many areas of the map, making it a great time to uncover secrets.

Find All Six Jizo Statues In This Region
Yamashiro is home to six Jizo Statues in total. The challenge lies primarily in navigating the game map in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The terrain can be somewhat tricky, and players need to consider various elements. A significant hindrance I faced was traveling through Kyoto, which slows you down because galloping isn’t allowed there, and a large portion of Yamashiro is located within it.
If you’ve unlocked several Synchronization Points, it will notably ease your journey. If this isn’t the case, I highly recommend using Naoe for fetching the Jizo Statues, as she moves faster on foot through Kyoto, especially where Yasuke may struggle to climb.
Shoryuji Jizo Statue
The Shoryuji statue is the easiest to locate, as it’s positioned close to Kyoto and you’ll likely stumble upon it during your initial visit to Yamashiro for the main quest. However, if you happen to miss it, consider using the Shoryuji Tenshu Synchronization Point or the Oyamazaki Kakurega to reach it. You could also approach from the southern Synchronization Point in Kyoto.
Eagle’s Nest Jizo Statue
Though named Eagle’s Point, this statue is actually near Arashiyama. There’s a Synchronization Point just north at Arashiyama Cascades, but be prepared for a bit of distance to cover from gather the statue.
Tip: When estimating distances for Jizo Statues, marking the location on your map where you see it in a screenshot can be really useful. Once you return to the game, deactivate any current quests and switch on Pathfinder mode. This guides you along the correct path, regardless of your initial guesses on direction.
This Jizo Statue is the furthest west, but there are two more situated to the north. I would suggest collecting these three consecutive statues starting from the last one you obtained.
Genbu Highlands Jizo Statue #1
This southern Jizo Statue in the Genbu Highlands is straightforward to access from the previous statue near Arashiyama. A road connects the two, ensuring your travels are easygoing. The scenic countryside of Assassin’s Creed Shadows is a nice diversion from navigating through Kyoto.
Genbu Highlands Jizo Statue #2
Located at the northernmost point in Yamashiro, this statue can be reached quickly from the northern parts of Kyoto using the Shokokuji Pagoda or the Northern Kyoto Kakurega.
You can also access it from the very north via a fast-travel point at the Kuramadera Pagoda, although approaching from the south is simpler.
Hills of Meeting Jizo Statue
Situated on the eastern side of Yamashiro, I approached this Jizo Statue from the south via the Kiyomizudera Pagoda—also near an area to acquire a monkey for your hideout. There’s a Pagoda of the Hills Synchronization Point close by, and it’s possible you’ll walk past the statue on your way to that landmark.
Little Leaf Glade Jizo Statue
The last Jizo Statue in Yamashiro is tucked away in a section that at first glance may not seem part of this region. Little Leaf Glade lies between Yamato, Izumi Settsu, and Omi yet is still classified as part of Yamashiro. I recommend following the river through Uji Tawara, where there’s also a Kakurega. Once you reach the town, look to your right for a path leading into the woods that will guide you to the final Jizo Statue in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
