Upon your arrival at the intriguing Ambrosia Island, your first task is to connect with the island’s inhabitants, who are struggling with memory loss. In Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island, each individual reflects a different Greek deity, devoid of their identity and powers.
By assisting these characters with their personal quests, you not only help restore their memories but also uncover the island’s mysteries. One of the initial figures you’ll encounter is Hermes, the divine messenger. Here’s everything you need to know to help him regain his true self and unravel the enigma of the island!
How To Unlock Hermes
Shortly after meeting Ora, the Oracle, your mission will lead you to Hermes, who can be found on the western beach by the docks. Keep an eye out for his seaplane bobbing in the water, although it looks a little weathered.
When you arrive, it’s likely late at night. Hermes won’t be around yet, so you’ll need to wait until morning.
Head over to the lighthouse to rest and make sure to check for Hermes bright and early the next day. You’ll find him waiting by his seaplane at the dock. Initially, he seems a bit reluctant to engage, but as you converse with him, he starts to warm up.
Hermes Friendship Level One
To reach the first level of friendship with Hermes, you need to do him a favor. He hands you a bag of dried dates and asks you to feed the seagulls around the island since they’re his friends and could use a treat.
With the dates in hand, all you need to do is approach the seagulls and interact with them to give them a snack. They’ll be thankful for your kindness!
All seagulls in unlocked regions are marked on your map, so you can easily spot them while exploring the nearby beaches.
However, you won’t be able to feed every seagull with the dates you have, as there aren’t enough. Once you run out, return to Hermes, who will then ask you to locate lost mementos using your Ambrosiadex radar.
There are two mementos to find around the island:
Memento Name |
Location |
---|---|
Worn Sandals |
Behind a hidden door on the westernmost beach. |
Leather Satchel |
Among the pottery near the locked tower door. |
After you collect these mementos, take them back to Hermes and discuss the memories he has regained. This will elevate your friendship level to one, enabling you to visit his home and trade ambrosia fruit with him.
You can now visit Hermes at any time, making it easier to build your friendship.
Hermes Friendship Level Two
As soon as you finish your conversation after reaching level one, Hermes will share about some extra snacks he prepared for the seagulls. You can pick up a bag of stuffed olives from inside his seaplane before heading out to find more seagulls.
They can now be found along the beaches and inside the temple, as you’ve unlocked those areas with Hermes’ seal.
Look for seagulls perched on barrels or tucked away in hard-to-reach spots. Don’t worry if you can’t find all of them just yet! You only need to feed six more seagulls to progress to the next friendship level.
You will also need to find additional mementos to further help Hermes recover his lost memories. Below is a list of the mementos for Hermes along with their locations:
Memento Name |
Location |
---|---|
Winged Sandals |
The well in Ares’ orchard. |
Winged Staff |
On the eastern beaches, south of the docks by a chill-out spot. |
Winged Helm |
On the eastern side of the temple, above the entrance to Aphrodite’s Gardens. |
Return with the mementos to help Hermes unlock new memories, which will advance you to level three friendship!
Hermes Friendship Level Three
To complete Hermes’ friendship journey, you must gather the final set of mementos and finish feeding all the seagulls on the island. Speak to Hermes to collect a bag of honey doughnuts from inside his seaplane.
Seagulls you haven’t fed yet will be marked on your map with a bird icon. Don’t forget to check around your lighthouse!
Now, gather the remaining mementos. Here’s what you still need to find for Hermes:
Memento Name |
Location |
---|---|
Beach Sandals |
In the sandbag to the right of the lift in Zeus and Hera’s sun lounge. |
Beach Mat |
On the waterwheel closest to Hephaestus’ workshop. |
Once you have gathered everything, return to Hermes to help restore his memories completely. In gratitude, Hermes will reward you with his soulstone!
