In your journey through Planet Coaster 2, you’ll encounter a variety of challenges that will keep you engaged. From hitting ambitious targets to constructing thrilling coasters, you’ll master the art of park design in no time.
In the scenario titled Paradise Lost, your mission is to breathe new life into a forgotten theme park. This park has numerous broken rides scattered among several islands, with water creating barriers throughout. To tackle these obstacles, you must design the layout thoughtfully to draw in visitors. We’ll guide you through each task so you can successfully complete this scenario!
Paradise Lost Bronze Objectives
At the start, the park is in disrepair. With some careful planning, you can turn it around. Begin by fixing the broken rides and adding new ones to lure guests into your park.
No one can enter the park until you repair the entrance bridge, even though fixing it isn’t part of your initial objectives.
Repair The Animal Coaster
There’s a large wooden coaster that’s incomplete. You’ll need to connect the track pieces using the edit mode.
Start from the station and follow the track to identify the broken sections. This will help you determine how to best connect them, ensuring a smooth ride.
Don’t forget to switch between different track pieces to adjust the speed of the car as needed!
Once the coaster is finished, test it to make sure everything is functioning properly. Then, open the ride for your guests to experience!
Build New Flat Rides
Next, you’ll need to add new flat rides for visitors who may not be keen on coasters. You only need to build two new rides, with at least one featuring a prestige rating of 250.
Using pre-designed rides is a smart choice since they come complete with decorations!
Select your rides and install them in the park. Make sure to connect them to power and create pathways so that guests can access them easily.
Although there are several broken rides available, reopening them does not count toward this goal. You must build entirely new attractions.
Design A Coaster
Finally, you’ll need to create a custom coaster that meets certain criteria. Your coaster must include at least three inversions and achieve an excitement rating of five.
The Crazy Mouse coaster is an excellent budget-friendly option for this challenge!
While pre-made coasters are available, not all will fit these specifications. As you design, ensure to use the inversions tab to add loops, twists, and additional features to your coaster.
After completing it, conduct a trial run, and then open it for the public! You’ll earn your bronze badge for this scenario and be well on your way to revitalizing the park.
Paradise Lost Silver Objectives
To earn the silver badge, there’s more work ahead. You’ll need to expand the park and continue building and maintaining rides.
Expand Your Park
Your first task toward earning silver is acquiring two additional plots of land. You currently possess five plots, but you need seven. Access the park expansion menu and select two plots to purchase.
If funds are limited, there are a couple of islands available for only $500, although their locations may not be ideal.
After securing the land, you can start developing the new areas!
Build More Rides
Adding four new flat rides will maximize your space. Some attractions, like Resurgence, are compact, but make sure to offer a variety in your park to draw in more guests.
You’ll also need another coaster. Feel free to choose any coaster, but it must be a minimum of 650 meters long.
You can verify the length in the coaster’s completed details, but when in doubt, just drag it out!
Maintain Your Park
You will need to ensure all rides, regardless of which ones you select, are kept up by a mechanic. It’s essential to maintain an average upkeep rating of above 80 percent in the park.
Hire more mechanics and establish staff facilities as needed to maintain employee satisfaction!
Regularly check on each ride and utilize the staff schedule to arrange maintenance. Once the average score is elevated and your attractions are functional, you will earn your silver badge!
Paradise Lost Gold Objectives
Now that your park is thriving, it’s time to add even more attractions and focus on boosting your profits.
Build New Coasters
Your objective is to construct three new coasters, giving you complete freedom to choose which ones to build. The only condition is that one coaster must achieve a prestige rating of at least 300, which can be done with proper scenery and upkeep.
Vary your coasters to cater to a broader audience and use marketing strategies to attract more visitors!
Increase Daily Profits
Boosting your daily income to $100,000 might seem challenging at first, but it becomes easier as you gain experience managing your parks. Set up various shops for your guests and adjust ride prices dynamically to maximize earnings.
If you’re struggling, consider raising ticket prices or adding a water park to increase revenue!
Once you hit this target, you’ll receive the gold badge for this scenario and can progress to the final objectives.
Paradise Lost Platinum Objectives
In this concluding set of tasks, your coaster-building skills will be fully tested. First, you need to create a new coaster with the following specifications:
- At least 1,000 meters long.
- Nausea score of less than five.
- Excitement score of at least five.
Additionally, you are required to double your current daily income to $200,000. You also need to improve your park rating to four and a half stars. Luckily, these two goals can complement one another!
Pay attention to guest feedback to maintain cleanliness and excitement throughout the park, as this will boost your overall rating. Happy guests tend to spend more money, which in turn will elevate your profits.
With a diverse range of rides available, consider adding priority passes to your most popular attractions to enhance revenue.
While working on increasing your income, you can also repair other broken rides, further expand the park, and design new coasters for guests to enjoy. The possibilities are endless as you strive to meet these targets.
Once you finish all the objectives, you’ll earn the platinum badge and successfully complete the scenario!
