The Lunar Festival in World of Warcraft celebrates the Chinese New Year with festivities featuring fireworks, dragons, and lanterns. This event occurs in Moonglade, where druids gather to pay tribute to the Elders of Azeroth, who make their only appearance during this special time.

During the Lunar Festival, you’ll collect a special currency called Coins of Ancestry. You can use these coins to buy various items, including appearances, fireworks, food, Battle Pets, and the impressive firework-themed mount. However, acquiring the costly Lunar Launcher can be challenging without the right information. Fortunately, we’ve prepared a guide to help you navigate the process.

How to Obtain the Lunar Launcher

To purchase the Lunar Launcher, you’ll need 75 Coins of Ancestry. You can acquire these through two main activities: completing the Lunar Preservation quest and collecting coins from Elders scattered across Azeroth. Once you have enough coins, visit Valadar Stormsong in Moonglade to obtain your new mount.

Lunar Preservation Quest

A simple yet rewarding quest called Lunar Preservation grants you 25 Coins of Ancestry toward your total. To start, go to Myrael Lunarbloom in Moonglade at coordinates 53.2, 36.0. She will send you to use the Staff of Moonflowers at various Moonwells located in places such as Ashenvale, Felwood, Feralas, Moonglade, Stonetalon Mountains, Duskwood, and Mount Hyjal.

A quest marker will guide you to each location. Make sure to reach all the spots within 60 minutes to avoid having to restart. Fortunately, the quest is straightforward, and you should finish well within the time limit.
