UFL is a free-to-play game designed to compete with the Ultimate Team mode in EA Sports FC. In this game, players buy and sell athletes to strengthen their teams and climb the rankings in online play.
The mechanics for acquiring players in UFL differ significantly from those in EA Sports. Instead of relying on luck to unbox players, you directly purchase the ones you want. While you can invest real money to enhance your roster, the process gives you more control over the players you acquire, allowing for a more strategic upgrade of your team.
How To Buy Players
To buy players, start from the main menu in UFL. Simply select the Market option, followed by Transfers. This will display a list of available players sorted by price, beginning with the highest-rated and most expensive options.
You can also filter the players by position or rating, and if you’re looking for someone specific, you can search by name as well.
Once you’ve located the player you intend to purchase, simply hold square/X to carry out the transaction using the amount of Credit Points listed.
How To Earn Credit Points: You can earn Credit Points by winning matches in Ranked mode, or you can buy them directly from the Store using real money.
After completing your purchase, the new player will be moved to your club’s reserves. Navigate to your main squad and go to the reserves section, where you can swap the new player into your active lineup by replacing someone already in your team.
How To Sell Players
Selling players in UFL isn’t described in-game very clearly. Rather than using a Transfers screen, you’ll manage sales from the Squad interface.
Important Note: There is no Transfer Market in UFL, meaning you cannot trade with other players. Each player has a predetermined price.
To sell a player, first, find them in your main squad or reserves. Select the player and access the player wheel, where you can choose the sell player option. It will display how much you can earn from that sale, allowing you to confirm if you’d like to proceed.
Be aware that once a sale is finalized, you cannot undo it. Ensure that you’re sure about your decision, as you would need to purchase the player again at their base price if you decide you want them back later.
