Tom Burton serves as the Director of External Affairs and Public Policy at GoCardless. In his role, Tom works closely with essential external stakeholders to ensure that GoCardless can make a positive difference in the regulatory landscape and public policy. He is also responsible for overseeing the organization’s efforts in analyzing external engagement and relevant policy matters.
With over ten years of experience in public affairs within the finance and banking sectors, Tom has previously held significant positions such as Vice President of Government Relations at Barclays and Head of Public Policy and Strategy at Klarna.
