Zayn Malik Reflects on One Direction’s “Night Changes” Moments

Zayn Malik seems to be feeling nostalgic about his days with One Direction as he reflects on some of their classic tracks.

On Monday, Zayn posted a black-and-white video on his Instagram, where he showed off his a cappella rendition of the group’s 2014 hit, “Night Changes.”

In the brief clip, the singer, who is a father, sported a black tank top and overalls, completing his look with a chain necklace and headband. He was seen sitting at a table against a rustic stone wall while he recorded himself singing.

This latest video follows just two weeks after he shared another performance of One Direction’s “You & I,” also from 2014.

Zayn chose not to include any caption for this video, but his fans flooded the comments with excitement and theories about his choice of song, considering his complicated history with the band.

Earlier in August, Zayn’s former bandmate Liam Payne discussed their relationship on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast. Liam expressed his mixed feelings, saying, “There are many reasons why I dislike Zayn and many reasons why I’ll always be on his side.”

Fans didn’t take kindly to Liam’s comments and shortly after the interview, he took to Twitter to clarify his thoughts. He explained, “I wouldn’t normally speak on these matters, but when it involves family, it’s tough to stay quiet. They mentioned a particular incident with Zayn, and while I responded, I recognize I may not have expressed myself the best way.”

He added, “I wanted to convey that although we disagree on certain aspects, I will always support him. That’s what family is about. Zayn is like a brother to me, and I’ve got his back for life.”

The song “Night Changes” was significant as it was Zayn’s last single with One Direction before he left the group.
