Bollywood actress Tamannaah Bhatia was questioned for five hours as part of a current money laundering investigation, according to media sources.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is looking into the roles of well-known figures in a betting app scandal that reportedly allowed illegal betting during events such as the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Bhatia was called in for questioning after authorities expressed concerns about her possible involvement in promoting the betting app. She arrived at the ED office in Assam with her parents; her father accompanied her inside, while her mother stayed outside in their vehicle.
While the actress underwent an extensive interrogation for five hours, the specific information about what was discussed has not been made public. This visit marks the second time Bhatia has been called to testify in this case, with her first appearance occurring at the ED’s office in Maharashtra.
